''(Y/N)?''
''Yes, Love?''
''Could you pull the hair out, please?''
Babysitting
''Are you sure you got this?'' John questioned, an unsure look on his face.
''Of course, we do! We are excellent babysitters,'' You stated, smiling. ''Plus, Rosie loves hanging out at 221B, so all will be fine.''
John nodded, still questioning the people he chose to look after his daughter. ''Call me if you need anything, okay?''
''That won't be needed, John. We got this covered,'' Sherlock said, bouncing Rosie up and down as he held her in his arms.
''I'm sure you do.'' He sighed. ''I guess I'm off then.'' He pressed a kiss to his daughter's head before heading back to his car.
''Have fun on your date!'' You called after him.
As soon as the vehicle sped off, you and Sherlock went back inside, taking Rosie with you. ''This is going to be great!'' You beamed.
Sherlock nodded in agreement. ''How hard can parenting be, right?'' He chuckled.
The start of the afternoon was great. You had fed Rosie her warm milk, played with the toys you had lying around the flat and watched kid shows on the telly. Everything was going perfectly fine and you and your fiancé grew more and more comfortable with the idea of becoming parents yourselves one day. But as time progressed, that attitude changed quickly.
''I am not doing this!'' You yelled.
''Well, one of us has to and since you're the woman, I think it should be you.''
''Oh, we're back in the Middle Ages again, huh? You're just too scared to do it!''
''I killed a man once, (Y/N)! I am not scared of a dirty diaper!'' He argued.
As the two of you argued, Rosie kept on crying louder than ever. Sherlock desperately bounced her in his arms but none of it seemed to calm the distressed child. ''Please, stop crying, Little Bee,'' Sherlock begged, on the verge of crying himself.
You sighed in defeat. ''Maybe she's tired and doesn't need a change of diapers,'' You offered.
Sherlock nodded. ''We can put her in our bed,'' He suggested.
''What if she falls off?''
''Well, we can lay down on either side and serve as a barrier!''
You two finally agreed on a way to comfort John's daughter and Sherlock carried her to your bedroom. According to the plan, you both laid down and placed Rosie securely in the middle. You calmly rubbed her stomach with your hand as you tried to soothe her. ''It's okay, Sweetie. Just go to sleep and you won't be tired anymore,'' You cooed, kissing her wet cheek.
Sherlock moved closer and wrapped his arms around both you and Rosie, holding you tightly. He pressed several kisses to the young girl's head and hummed a tune he had played on his violin earlier that day.
A soft smile spread on your lips as you watched her eyes flutter shut, finally falling asleep after a long day. You grinned at Sherlock, a proud look on your face. ''We would be excellent parents, don't you think?''
''Totally.''
It didn't take long before you and your detective fell asleep, as well.
Good Morning
Sherlock's eyes fluttered open, the early sunshine invading his eyes. A soft groan escaped his lips as he turned away from the window. His mouth instantly curled up into a smile when he turned around, however.
