Chapter 18

He splashed me in return and I did the same. We then had a splash fight and started laughing.

Since our full attention wasn't on the dogs, as revenge they decided to shake.

"I think the dogs won the splash fight." I joked.

"I agree." Vlyad smiled.

"Axel and Roxy." I called as I stood up.

The two dogs jumped out of the tub and Vlyad and I dried the dogs.

"Now were gonna have four dogs on our journeys." Vlyad pointed out. "Roxy, Axel, Thorgina, and Celestia."

"You're coming with us to find the island for the capital?" I questioned.

"Yes." He replied shortly.

"I'm glad." I smiled kindly.

"I am too." He returned the smile. "It's weird."

"What is?" I asked.

"It feels like I'm supposed to know you. I feel so comfortable around you." Vlyad admitted. "Not in a romantic way, but in a friendly way."

In a sibling way, I corrected in my head.

"I feel the same." I agreed, keeping the sadness out of my voice.

We then walked out of the bathroom and outside of the house.

"Let's see if Donna has dog collars." Vlyad suggested.

"Good idea." I smiled.

Vlyad picked up Axel and I picked up Roxy.

"Who are these two adorable puppies?" Donna asked as she reached for Axel.

"Do you happen to have two dog collars?" Vlyad asked handing Axel to Donna. "Preferably in two different colors."

"Actually we do. We have them in blue and pink." Donna replied.

"May we take both?" Vlyad asked.

"Of course." Donna smiled.

Donna put the blue collar on Axel and I put the pink one on Roxy.

Before I could hand Donna an ingot, Vlyad beat me to it. Donna then handed Axel back to Vlyad.

Vlyad and I then took the dogs to the beach.

"Here." I handed him an ingot.

"No. I wanted to." He smiled as he pushed the gold back to me.

"Vlyad-"

"Nope. I don't want your ingot." He cut me off.

"Fine." I said stubbornly.

As we had a conversation Roxy and Axel were playing in the water. We started talking about our pasts and stuff.

"Got any family?" Vlyad asked.

"Sort of." I replied sadly.

He gave me a questioning look.

"My father and mother wanted to keep me a secret. They tried to protect me." I started. "My brothers don't even know I exist."

"Why?"

"Because when I was born my brothers were already off on their adventures." I explained. "My parents didn't know where they were. So to keep me from suffering the same fate, they protected me like I was some sort of jewel everyone waned steal."

"You?" I asked.

"I have two other brothers. You know, Garroth and Zane. My mother was the best mom out there. My dad was very stern. Garroth was a great brother but Zane didn't acknowledge my existence." Vlyad explained. "And you know that I died and stuff. But that's nothing compared to what you've been through."

"I'm glad you had your family. I wish I had them in my life." I smirked.

"I wish I met you sooner. You're really a great person (Y/n)." Vlyad smiled.

We continued our conversation for another twenty minutes.

"Axel! Roxy! Come on babies!" I called out.

They came dashing in our direction and tackled us.

"Ah!" I squealed.

"These two are going to be a hassle." Vlyad commented.

"That agreeable." I rolled my eyes playfully.

We then walked to the treehouse.

"I never noticed.." I started off.

"What didn't you notice?" Vlyad asked curiously.

"The three armors that are positioned up here. Who's are they?" I asked admiring all three armors.

"The middle one was Garroth's old armor from when he lived in O'khasis before running away. The one on the left is Laurence's old armor set. And the one on the right, is Dante's." Vlyad replied.

"We're gonna get them out." I said confidently as I continued to examine Garroth's old armor.

"What do you mean?" Vlyad was confused once more.

"Your brothers." I started.

"They are going to get out of the Irene Dimension. I can promise you that."
