"Oh, I've seen this experiment before," said Hunk. "But, question: Why do we need to get electricty from a potato?"
"What? No, no. I was able to crack the 'spore code'," chuckled Pidge. "I ran the bioluminescent pattern through a variety of code-breaking sequences, including this homemade virtual Turing machine. Of course, I had to make a few tweaks to the original design..."

At some point, I stopped trying to understand what Pidge was explaining to us and my attention went on Keith who was leaning on the desk, arms crossed. He's... cute? I don't think cute suit him right now. Uhm... sexy? I have to stop looking at him and all. But I couldn't helped it, my eyes wandered on his body and rested on his face. Something tilted inside me, making my thought of Keith being cute or sexy stopped. His face was unreadable. He had a hard look as if something happened. A bad thing. When I tried to ask him if he was alright, he shouted to Pidge asking her to read the code.

"Oh, yeah. 'Under attack. Galra. Help.' And then, there are coordinates," she explained.
"It's a distress signal. Good work, Pidge," complimented Shiro. "Get those coordinates into the castle-ship's navigation system," he asked to Coran.

"The signal came from Olkarion, home to the Olkari, a proid class of engineers, builders of vast cities that could change shape at the whim of their creators," informed Coran.
"They have a seemingly magical ability to manipulate solid metal. With just a wave of their hands, they could build a computer inside a blick of steel," added Allura who made Pidge amazed.
"An Olkari once gave me this," said Coran proudly.
"What is it," asked Lance.
"Uh, hello? It's a floating cube," replied Coran. "Oh, this guy. And watch! My name is Ciran and I'm a gorgeous man."

The little floating box repeated Coran's voice. I guess Pidge was in awe with it because she had sparkles in her eyes.

"Why would a society full of literal tech wizards use spored to send a distress signal," asked Keith.
"Who cared? When do we get to see that city," asked Pidge to Allura, all excited.
"Actually Pidge, the distress signal isn't coming from the city. It's coming from... the forest."
"Oh..."

I went with my brother in Black and headed to the forest in question.

"Why doesn't anyone ever send a distress signal from a cool place," asked Pidge. "I hate the outdoors. Nothing but sunburn and poison oak."
"I like it out here. It's quiet," informed Keith before he gasped at the see of arrows.
"What was that," asked Hunk.
"Uh, are we being attacked," asked Keith unsure.
"I don't know, but something's dragging my lion down to the surface," answered Shiro.
"Yeah, something's pulling Blue down, too," added Lance.
"Are those wooden mech suits," I asked when we landed in front of people and robots but no in metal.
"Are you kidding me? We got taken down by a bunch of tree people," exclamed Lance.
"We come in peace," said Shiro in the speaker.
"We found your distress signal," added Pidge as she got out of her Lion.
"Lubos," yelled the people in front of us.

In front of us, was a big city deep inside the forest. It was incredible beautiful to see and magic.

"When the Galra attacked, only a few of us escaped the cities. We were forced to flee into the forest," explained Ryner.
"How long have you lived like this," asked my brother.
"Many decafeebs. But as you can see, our people are resilient. We never stopped evolving. Instead, we adapted our skills to the environment."
"Coran was right, Ryner. You reallu are the most incredible engineers in the universe. To be able to switch from working with precision machinery to a bunch of sticks," said Pidge amazed and shocked by their power.
"Nature's designs are superior to any that we could devise."
"No offense, but I'll take my computer over a tree any day," added Pidge.
"You two can talk science later," informed Shiro. "Lets assemble Voltron and get rid of these Galra invaders."
"It's not that simple, I'm afraid. The Galra have our leader, Lubos. If you attack, who knows what they'll do to him," said Ryner.
"Then, we'll just have to rescue him," I interrupted.
