"Oh? I don't want to sound rude but what does that have anything to do with me?" I asked her confused.

"Well, I want you to come with me and be my assistant."

I looked at her shocked.

Me? Did she just said that to me?

She chuckled at my reaction and started to speak again.

"Like I said, you are one of the best top 3 in your year. I always see you working hard on everything and I know that you won't ever disappoint me. So, do you accept this offer?" she finally asked me.

I thought for a bit.

Should I or should I not?

I have no idea which school she means but I think this will be a really good opportunity for me to improve my knowledge of everything I've learned until now.

I looked at her and gave her a small smile.

"I will be in your care."

"WHAT?!" Rose yelled in my ear.

"Ow...girl, you don't have to yell! I am right beside you." I told her while holding my left ear.

"Sorry." she gave me a sheepish smile.

"But do you understand what a great chance that is?! You are literally a doctor's assistant for a week!" she yelled again.

"She won't be able to if you keep screaming in her ear like that." Andrew told her.

Rose glared at him before she rolled her eyes and focused on me again.

"It's not a big deal. It's not like I am working at a hospital or so." I said, trying to calm this girls ass down.

"Anyways, congratulation, nerd!" Andrew shouted before hugging me.

"Thanks! And don't call me nerd." I told him, hitting his arm playfully.

"By the way, did she tell you which college?" Rose asked me while she took a bite from her sandwich.

"Nope. She mentioned something with Carolina and some hill. I didn't really pay attention because I was still in shock. She also said I will be living in a dorm for a week but not with other students since I am not one of them. It's kinda a private dorm for guest." I explained while I sipped on my juice.

"Like a hotel or something?" Andrew asked while he looked at himself on the window, fixing his hair.

"You could say it like that."

We finished eating our food and stayed there for another hour until we all went our ways. I had to start packing my things since we will leave tomorrow morning. She will be picking me up with her car.

I've never been in a car alone with a teacher of mine so I will be having a long awkward ride with her.

"I'm home!" I yelled as I entered my house.

I started undoing my shoes and went straight to the kitchen where my mom stood while making some lasagne.

"Welcome home, dear." my mom said.

"Welcome home, princess." my dad greeted as he entered the kitchen.

"Great timing dad. I wanted to tell you guys something." I said with a big grin on my face.

They looked at me confused.

"You got a boyfriend?"

"She already has one, hun."

"You broke up with him?"

"He proposed to you?"

"What?! You're getting married?"

"Wait, n-"

"You're not marrying him because your pregnant, right?"

I stared at my father shocked while my mom punched him lightly in his stomach.

"Why did y-wait, I'm not even gonna ask. I only wanted to tell you guys that I will be gone for a week. I was asked to be an assistant of a professor who was asked to help out at a college somewhere in Carolina." I finally said.

"For one week? When are you leaving?" my mom asked.

"Tomorrow morning."

"Okay, but be careful and call us everytime you can, promise?" my dad asked me.

He's kinda an overprotective father but I don't hate it at all. It is his way of showing that he loves me and cares for me.

"Promise. I will be upstairs and pack my things." I told them and skipped the stairs until I reached my room.

I pulled out my phone and stared at it.

No messages.

No missed calls.

I sighed and threw my phone on my bed. I took out my suitcase from my closet and started packing.

I looked at my nightstand and saw there a photo of me and my friends. It was taken right before I went into surgery. I was sitting on my bed while Blake sat right beside me on my bed. Everyone else were standing both sides of us, smiling happily.

I smiled on those memories and brushed a finger on it. A tear suddenly dropped down on the glass of the picture frame. I tried to wipe away the tears that were starting to slide down my cheeks.

I miss those times.

I miss all of them.

I miss him.
