''Oh, shut up and kiss me.''

You pressed your lips against his, the smile never wavering from either of your faces. ''I love you, too, Sherlock,'' you said, having pulled away.

''I had a feeling,'' he mocked, grinning.

You playfully rolled your eyes. ''Are you going to tell me about the case now or what?''

''Of course, Love,'' he said, ''When Gavin—''

''Greg,'' you interrupted.

''Right, when Greg called me, at first, the case sounded bland, just like every other simple murder case. I could have deduced who the killer was without even seeing the body, even Anderson could've figured it out! I was ready to deny the case and spend the day in our flat but then he mentioned an interesting detail that immediately caught my attention.''

''What was it? The detail, I mean,'' you wondered, leaning forwards, hooked on his every word.

He looked at you and smirked. ''They found the body in an abandoned warehouse after receiving an anonymous tip. When they arrived there, everything was locked from the inside and no killer was present. They searched the entire building, guarded every exit and no trace of the murderer getting out after committing the crime. They're baffled by it and asked us to help,'' he concluded.

You copied his expression. ''That sounds familiar,'' you pointed out.

''Continue,'' He smirked, leaning in.

''Someone left us an anniversary gift.''

''Exactly,'' he whispered, eyes filled with excitement. He sat back up, the tension between you two fading.

''Do you think the Black Lotus is behind it again? Do you think they recreated the murders we solved the night we caught their leader?''

Sherlock shook his head. ''No, they haven't been active in London ever since. I'm quite sure they left England altogether after that night. It seems unlikely that they are the ones who set this up for us. It's someone else. Someone who wants us to play a game,'' he trailed off, lost in thought.

''Let's find out then.'' You smiled.

He nodded, grinning widely. ''Happy anniversary.''

''Happy anniversary, Sherlock.''

After a tedious drive to the crime scene filled with curse words and yelling from the cabbie, you two finally arrived. Sherlock practically ran towards the warehouse, dragging you with him. You knew he was beyond excited to find out who had enough knowledge of you and him to recreate the murder case you solved the night you met.

A soft voice in the back of your mind told you to watch your steps but the adrenaline coursing through your veins left no room for rationality.

''Lestrade, I want you and your minions out of here as fast as you can!'' Sherlock ordered.

''Wha—''

''Now, Gavin! There is no time to waste! This case is directed to me and (Y/N), I don't want Scotland Yard ruining my anniversary gift. So get out!'' He barked, storming into the warehouse and yelling at some policemen.

''What's up with him?'' Greg asked you.

You shrugged. ''Someone recreated the case we solved the night we met. It's our third anniversary since that night today and he's quite thrilled,'' you explained. ''Just do as he says and head back to the office, we'll be fine here.''
