"Well, you were angry with me that night because Tyler came over. I was mad too, so my first instinct was to just run away with him," I explained.
"Tyler can't be your excuse for this," my dad stated. "We told you he wasn't allowed over, and you didn't listen."
"Yeah... I know. I'm sorry," I replied quietly.
"But even though I apologized, I still think it's stupid. I don't understand why you dislike him all of the sudden. You guys used to love Tyler," I argued.
"If it weren't for you, he would have married that other girl," my mom said. "I just think it's stupid that you decided to go running back to him after that. If he didn't stop it beforehand, he clearly didn't mind being with her."
"Whatever," I finally ended the argument, and I turned around, but stopped in my tracks when a thought came to mind.
What if I move out?
If I moved out, I would be able to see Tyler whenever I wanted. I wouldn't have to deal with my parents getting angry at me for it.
But of course, I wouldn't just completely leave my parents. I would still talk to them, and visit them. I didn't want them to be angry with me, but I also didn't want to be told what to do all of the time.
Only thing was, I couldn't live right next door to Tyler. I had lived next to him since I was 6, besides when I moved to New York for college.
In fact, moving here is how I met Tyler.•Flashback bc ya'll probably wanna know how they met•
I was 6 years old, and my parents and I had just moved to a new neighborhood in Ohio. I wasn't that excited, and to be honest, I didn't really care at all.
My parents had just pulled up into the driveway of the new house. They got out and I followed after them. They were taking suitcases out of the trunk of the car, and bags of other things we owned.
I looked to the house next to me, and noticed a lady and a little boy with brown hair who looked about my age getting out of their car. The lady looked towards us and noticed that we were pulling a ton of stuff from the back of our car, so she walked up to us with the boy at her side.
"Do you guys need any help?" She asked nicely, and my parents turned towards her with a smile.
"I think we're good, but thank you!" My mom said.
The lady greeted herself, and my parents introduced themselves too.
"Is this your daughter?" The lady, who introduced herself as Kelly, asked.
Me, being way too shy to talk, just looked up at my mom.
"Yes, her name is Y/n," My mom smiled.
"How old are you?" Kelly asked, looking down towards me.
"6," I answered shyly.
"Really? That's how old my son is," she smiled, and looked down next to her at the boy. "Tyler, stop being shy and say hello," she pushed him a little.
"Hi," Tyler said
"Hi," I responded.
"I'm Tyler. My last name is Joseph but I'm not telling you my middle name. Maybe later," he stated, and it caused me to giggle a little.
"I'm Y/n. My last name is L/n. I'll tell you my middle name later too," I replied. (if you don't have a middle name just forget that part k thanks)
Tyler smiled, and I instantly noticed that he had the most amazing smile ever.
Tyler's mom invited us inside her house for something to eat, and so we could get to know each other more. I eventually warmed up to Tyler, and we talked to each other the whole time.
"Mom, can I see Tyler tomorrow too?" I asked as we left their house.
"Of course," my mom replied.
Ever since then, Tyler and I had become the best of friends.
And Tyler told me his middle name the next day. I told him my own, and he said he thought it was pretty.
•End of flashback•
"Mom?" I asked, turning back around to face her.
"Yes?"
"Would it be okay if I started looking for apartments?" I asked, hoping she wouldn't mind.
"Of course, if you think you're ready. I could help you look, or help you with whatever you may need," she responded.
"Thanks mom, I'll let you know," I said, and ran up to my room, thinking about how I'd tell Tyler this.
Straight up. I'd have to be straight up with him., so I texted him.
Y/n: I might be moving...
Tyler: really?
Y/n: Yeah... I'm sorry. I know I won't be living next to you anymore, but we'll hang out everyday. Just like always
Tyler: It's okay, I'm not gonna stop you from moving. Just gonna miss you here. I have to move too, once I get the money for it though.
Y/n: Thanks Ty, I love you <3
Tyler: I love you too <3
