(F/n) didn't spend too much time focusing on the mark, however. Instead, she went further into the kitchen and set the knife in the knife drawer. She couldn't defend herself with it anyway. If she harmed the monkey, Drem would just punish her, and she couldn't use the knife against him in his other form. So, it was best to keep it out of sight and prevent easy access to it.
With the drawer closed, she proceeded to prepare some breakfast for herself. She kept her ears in tune to any sound around her; she didn't need Drem sneaking up on her. Thankfully, this didn't occur, and she was soon eating some more cinnamon apple oatmeal.
During this, however, she kept her eyes trained on the hallway. She would make sure that she would see Drem enter the area if he was in the monkey stuffed animal still. As she ate, she didn't notice anything come into the space. All was silent around her, except for her own chewing and the sound of the spoon hitting the bowl occasionally.
When she neared her last bites of food, she heard a cupboard in the kitchen open. There was no chill in the air, and she hadn't seen Drem enter the kitchen. Then again, there was the small window of time when she had been making the oatmeal. Could he have snuck in, then?
Before she could turn around to check, however, she felt something gripping the back of her shirt. Her heartbeat quickened, and she glanced over her left shoulder. Drem was climbing up the back of her, while something dangled from his right wrist. She went to throw him off when she noticed what it was.
As she was reaching her left hand back to grab him, he halted his ascent and pressed the pocket knife to her back. He continued to hold it there until she began to retract her hand. Once her hand was resting on the counter, he continued to climb upwards. Soon, he was on her right shoulder. She could see that the knife was still unsheathed.
Wishing that she had put the pocket knife away, rather than leave it on her bedroom floor, she waited for his next move. He steadily changed his position, which allowed him to face her. Drem utilized his left hand to take off the knife, which was on a small chain, from his right wrist. After doing so, he held the knife in his left hand and tapped it against her right cheek.
Shaking his head back and forth, he moved the flat side of the blade down her cheek. He continued to move it downwards, as her heart began to pound loudly in her chest. All of sudden, though, he tilted his body to the right and fell off of her shoulder. The blade in the process slid down her face, which caused the blade to turn slightly, and towards the right side of her chest rapidly.
Not too much time passed before a cry of pain left her lips, and her left hand shot up to the upper right side of her chest. She could feel the warm liquid greet the palm of her hand, as it started to run down her left forearm. The knife clang to the kitchen tiles, while Drem repositioned himself to stand back on his feet, since he was on his back from the fall. It was a pity that he was in a stuffed animal's body. Clearly, no damage, from the impact with ground, transpired to him.
Reluctantly, though, she removed her hand from the wound to examine the damage done to her. Upon doing so, she noted that it wasn't too deep, but it was still a good sized cut. It would take awhile to heal and would possibly leave another scar on her.
Getting off of the kitchen stool, she went to make her way to the bathroom, but she felt a tug on her right pant leg. Hatefully, she glanced down to Drem. "What?! I got the message, so let me tend to this," she growled out, pushing aside the whole "nice" business again.
Releasing his light grip on her, he crossed his arms over his chest and sat still. His gaze was locked onto her, like he was waiting for her to do something. She raised one of her eyebrows. "You still expect me to do that?" she asked with irritation.
Did she want to follow through with that order of his? No, she didn't want to do so in the slightest, yet she knew that he wouldn't let her go until she did so. She would have resisted more if she could. Frankly, though, she had a wound to take care. "Fine!" she yelled out, as she proceeded to untie the string on her pants.
Pissed off and embarrassed, she slipped the pants off of her, after she had the string untied. With them off she marched off towards the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind her. Thankfully, the shirt covered all of her undergarments.
An amused grin was plastered on Drem's countenance, while he watched her storm off. When the bathroom door closed violently, he started to laugh loudly, as he rocked back and forth in his form. He wondered how long she would keep up her resistance. Every time that she defied him, he would present her with a negative result.
Hopefully, that message would ingrain itself in her mind soon. Once it was instilled in her, she would become more dependent on him. She wouldn't just rely on him not to kill her; she would understand that only he could keep more injuries from befalling her. His little doe would have to depend solely on him to keep her from harm.
Ultimately, he was the only one who could prevent her from getting hurt. At the same time, he was the only one who could harm her, unless she tried to damage herself. He didn't suspect that she would try that anytime soon, however. After all she had quite the fighting spirit. Regardless, he would be her protector and attacker. It was contradictory, but it would cause his little doe to be closer to him.
There would be times when she would go against him, but there would also be times when she would follow his orders. She would trust him not to injure her if she obeyed. From there he could shape that trust into something more if he so chose. It wouldn't be simple, but the challenge was thrilling.
