As Andi was swinging her way through the streets, she was struck by a phenomenal force. Her webbing snapped and she was sent flying to the ground. All she could see was blue and red, and she knew then what hit her.
Andi rolled to a stop on the ground. She grunted and pulled herself up, her eyes falling on a very guilty and surprised Peter Parker.
"Woah," Peter held a hand out to Andi. "You're Recluse."
Andi reached up to take his hand and allowed him to pull her up and off of the ground. She dusted herself off and grabbed her backpack, which had fallen off during the fall. She couldn't speak to him, though, out of fear of him recognizing her voice.
"You're a legend," Peter continued. "I'm Spider-Man. It's such an honor to meet you."
"Mhm," Andi nodded her head, and before Peter could even think, she was taking off down the street. He watched as she started swinging through the buildings, and in an instant she was gone.
After a few minutes, Andi finally landed at Ned's. She took a deep breath and took off for the back of the building to change into her school clothes, and before long she was making her way up to Ned's door.
Andi knocked on Ned's door. Seconds later he opened it up, a smile pulling onto his face at the sight of her. She looked a tad bit winded, which confused him. He wondered what she'd been doing.
"Someone's breathing awfully hard," Ned teased her.
Andi sighed and placed her backpack on the couch before following Ned to his bedroom. "I practically ran here," she told him.
"From school?"
"Something like that."
Andi eyed all of the Lego pieces in the floor and squealed, wasting no time at all in dropping to the floor. Ned laughed at her enthusiasm and sat down beside her, working his way through the pieces to see which one he needed to use next.
"I take it you've never really built a Lego Death Star before?" Ned chuckled.
"I've never built anything out of Legos, period," Andi informed him. "Up until I started school with you and Peter, a normal teenage life was something I never had."
"Speaking of Peter, have you heard from him since we left school?"
Andi shook her head and focused her concentration on the star. "It's like everyone disappears when he's focused on his internship with Stark."
"Except you and Liz," Ned snorted.
"I agree with the whole Liz part, but definitely not the me part," Andi smirked.
"Okay, maybe," Ned half-agreed. "Hell, he'll probably take over homecoming with Liz."
"While we're stuck going alone."
"We don't have to go alone," Ned suggested. "We could always go with each other."
Andi pursed her lips and shrugged, not at all bothered by the thought of it. Aside from Peter, Ned had become her best friend since she'd been at Midtown, and when Peter wasn't around, he was the only friend she had. Spending time with him was always a fun time because of how hilariously stupid Ned could be at times, so spending the night with him at homecoming sounded like a great time.
"I say we do it."
"Then it's a date."
Several hours later, Andi and Ned found themselves at Peter's house. Andi was sitting on his bedroom floor beside Ned, who was sitting on his bunk holding the Death Star. The two decided to bring the star over to Peter's to give him some satisfaction of building it.
