"Then what are you going to do when you get out?" The dragon asked impossibly softly, Brine froze, well that was a factor that he hasn't considered before.
"If I tell you the way to get out of here," Drake said," will you take your revenge on Notch?"
"Yes," Brine replied immediately, before realizing what he had said," I mean, no. I just..."
"You just what?" The dragon looked at him, his purple eyes gleaming brightly," want to take your anger out on him?"
"I do not know," Brine said,"maybe."
"Are you so sure that Notch is a bad guy?" Drake asked," I mean, sure, he is kind of a jerk, but he wasn't a real bad guy."
"We don't know the whole truth," Brine said bitterly," how did you think that happened, huh? Because Notch himself has been covering that up, for gosh's sake!"
Drake was silent, but Brine was on a roll," Why do you think that he would cover up things that are important?"
"Because we don't need to know them?" Drake suggested," Look, what exactly has he hidden from us? From me?"
"A lot!" Brine shot back," apparently, he knew about my past, and what is bloody wrong with them," he pointed to his own eyes," and apparently he didn't tell you there is a shadowy guy in the End city's basement!"
The dragon seemed shocked, "Shocked, huh? Wait till you find out more," Brine said.
"Whoa, Brine, calm down," Drake said," sure, Notch has been hiding things from us, but he must have a reason for doing so, why not ask him?"
"Do you really think that he would tell you?" Brine sneered.
"Maybe," the dragon said, but with less certainty.
"Dude, do you have to be so naive?"
"I am having faith in him," Drake responded," something that you don't seem to have."
Brine glared at the dragon," Maybe it was because that he didn't deserve my trust, and I didn't deserve his. Whatever," Brine paused," why are we even talking about Notch? Just please, if you get me out of here, I would be very grateful."
The dragon didn't reply, just sighed as if he was a parent listening to a kid's demands, and took to the air, flapping his gigantic wings.
Brine was out of options, now even the dragon, his only way out of the End, was unwilling to help him.
Sure, he could keep on pestering the dragon, but since he had already tried it, it didn't work, obviously. Stupid Notch, banishing him there, to this barren wasteland, leaving him to rot. Brine would get his revenge later, but first, he needed to find a way out of there.
If he couldn't get out of the dark, gloomy dimension the normal way, he would have to use some sneakier techniques.
He remembered Entity's and Notch's powers of teleportation, they could teleport to another spot simply by imagining it, and bam, they would be there in an instant. If only Brine could find a way to teleport himself out of the End.
Brine had tried to teleport before, but that didn't work and he gave up pretty soon a few years ago. Now, left with no other option, he would have to try that.
He shut his eyes and concentrated, picturing the overworld and his mansion. Remembering every detail, each grass, each tree, each flower, and each and every block.
He searched for the tingling sensation, and it came to him easily. Over the years, it had been easier for Brine to summon his power, but now, right now, he was just above the void, he could somehow summon his powers even more easily.
