"Well ,hand."

He glared at me lightly, there was no real serious hatred in his eyes for me. More...entertainment. There better not be I just saved his ass! "Come on,I know a place where you can cauterize that to stop the bleeding. It's gonna hurt like hell but it's better than bleeding out."

"You know what I've been curious bout darlin?" God I wish he would stop with the nicknames, "Why are you out here in this overrun city?"

"Long story short,"I kicked open a door my gun prepared to shoot but I saw no one inside, "I lost the only people I knew and decided I deserved solitude for failing."

"AHH! SHIT!"

I had my hands over my ears attempting to block out Merle's screars of agony, I felt bad that he had to cauterize his wound on a steaming hot pipe but if he was gonna live it was his only choice.I walked out the door to go look out the window, walkers....and a lot of them.

"Hey Muscle Man! We got company!"

I heard him growl once more before grabbing some supplies I had gotten for him along the way here. He began to wrap up his newly made stump as I pulled out my guns. Aiming out the window I began to slowly take them out, I would never have imagined this many coming just cause of Merle's screams. Then again he is naturally loud as fuck. Well, most people are.

"I'm done darlin, let's go!"

"Alri-,"I got cut off as the front door that led to stairs suddenly burst open, over a dozen walkers came pouring into the room. All of them running for Merle.I kicked the front three back before running into the room Merle was in and slamming close the door."Merle I need you to run!"

"A woman savin me, that ain't happenin. I'm not leavin darlin," he walked over and placed his one hand on my waist. Pretty sure I already saved you once, what's the difference.

I twitched in discomfort before pushing him back with my elbow, "Not the time Merle." I grabbed a wood board and placed it against the handle of the door,"Ok we need to go now." The banging on the door only grew stronger as Merle went out the window to the fire escape, he held out his hand which I took to climb out the window as well. "What a gentlemen,"I commented sarcastically.

"You like it sweethart,"I rolled my eyes as we ran down and out. A few walkers noticed us but I took them out without any trouble."Darlin' how many guns you have with ya?"

"Many."

We continued to run, my gloved hand holding his so we wouldn't get separated. At least till we, by bad luck, crashed into a huge cluster of walkers. The screeching of Merle's shoes as he abruptly stopped made them all look over at us. "Great going Redneck."

"You the one leadin me!"

Shut up!

I ran to the side, shooting walkers left and right. A few accidentally clawed at me in an attempt to reach Merle. Seeing an open door to a small shop I ran in and flung Merle inside, I wasted no time as I grabbed the heaviest thing I could to block off the door.I half smiled as it seemed to work, but I had forgotten about the fragile window. It came crashing down and I pushed Merle, "Shit! Run upstairs ,now!"

I didn't have to tell him twice,I raced up the stairs behind him hearing the moaning and groaning of the walkers who fought their way up the stairs in hopes of having a tasty meal. I closed another door behind us, the room was empty and I calculated in another two minutes this door was gonna go down,"Merle go out that window and run."

"I already told ya,darlin,I aint-,"I tossed a gun at him making him stop his sentence abruptly. He barely dodged it.

"I don't care, I'm not letting you die. I can distract them long enough for you to get away! I'm the one who's been living in this overrun city not you,"I glared at him in annoyance before focusing on the door.
