Chapter 25

Ratchet's P.O.V.

I ran right beside Cade as we made it towards Optimus.

“When did you get here?” Cade asked in surprise

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

“Firstly, I'll be damned if you think I will let my oldest and best friend end up possibly getting killed. Second, this happens to be the damn bastard who assisted in killing my bipedal.” I retorted

Cade looked at me in awe.

“Good points.” He said hastily as he activated his gun, and I did the same.

He and I then used a cargo crate for cover as we shot at Lockdown. Everything was going alright until then the second bastard came, Attinger.

The main one behind all this slag.

He held us both at gun point, forced the two of us to drop our weapons.

“You see, it takes patience to make a man. The patience to watch and wait, to protect all of us, quietly, for God and country, without any recognition at all!” He barked

“Ratchet! Cade!” Optimus then shouted

"There are no good aliens! Or bad aliens, Yeager. It's just us and them, and you chose them.” He then said, and I growled at that comment.

I then made up my mind. Right when Attinger was about to shoot Cade, I kicked my gun up into the air and caught it, flipping it to its highest power before shooting him just as Optimus appeared and shoots him with his own cannon.

“Anytime.” Cade said as he looked down at Attinger’s limp body

We both then turned and saw Lockdown fighting Optimus again, before imploding him with his sword.

God damnit!

"You saved the humans instead of saving yourself? You bring shame upon us all.” Lockdown growled

I then jumped out of hising, and started shooting at him and Cade did the same. I saw a streak of orange and yellow, before seeing Gadget and Bumblebee both arrive. They each swung open their doors, allowing Zoey, Lucky, and Tessa out

“He never listens. Never.” I said before shooting again

There was then a double engine revving and a second later, Gadget and Bumblebee both speed at Lockdown, fighting him.

"I gave you an order!” Optimus said as he struggled with his sword while at the same time Cade and I continue to shoot at Lockdown

“And I got a new one!” Gadget said back as his battle mask clicked on and he shot at Lockdown

“Cade, Ratchet, get out of here! This is my fight!”

“It's my fight, and you're all gonna die!” Lockdown said as he shot back at Bumblebee and Gadget
I then realized the other three were working to get the sword out of Optimus.

“Ratchet!” zip heard Zoey then yell my name. I ran over to them and quickly saw the problem.

“Get away, all of you!” Optimus groaned

“As if!” I barked back as I clicked onto the back of the tow truck.

Tessa then passed me the hook. This has got to be one of the craziest things I have ever done. I turned, making my back face Optimus. I then pushed off and did a strong backfip, landing on my feet. The hook then well, hooked onto the sword

“Drive!” Tessa yelled, and he quickly started driving

Lockdown then overthrew Bumblebee and Gadget. “You see my face, your life is done!” He growled
