Cadence asked me to wait but I just can't. She's slowly killing me and I just need a minute to myself. So I keep walking and go outside. Of course it has be be pouring down rain. Maybe the rain will wash all these feelings away. The rain runs down my face drenching my body. I just want to hear her give me a chance. A real chance. I know it's asking so much of her but I deserve that much at least. "Luke?" I turn and there she is getting soaked staring at me with the saddest eyes. I feel a part of me breaking. "What more do you want from me Cadence? I'm doing everything I can to show you how much you mean to me. I don't know what else I can do." I yell out over the sound of the rain hitting the ground.
"Why me Luke? Why do you love me?" She had such a sadness to her voice. Her eyes look like she could fall apart any moment.
"Pretty girl there is so much to love about you. I love the way your eyes light up when you see coffee. I love how kind your heart is. I love how you're always honest with me. I love how you aren't afraid of telling me off. If you need to hear more of why I love, I can go on all night."
"Luke I want to give us a chance. A real chance. You're going to have to give me time to be able to give you all of my heart. I hope you can Luke because...."
"Because what Cadence? Why can't you just listen to your heart? If you don't you're going to lose me!" I yell out. Probably more angry then I should have but I just can't take it any more. I need to hear it. I need her to choose right here right now.
"Because I fucking love you ok and it scares the shit out of me!!" Without any hesitation I grab her and pull her into me a kiss her like she's the only thing that can keep me alive. All our guards were down. Like the rain washed away all our fears. Right now it's just the two of us.

CADENCE'S POV
When I said it out loud and saw his face change, it melted my heart. This kiss, this kiss is everything. It feels like the first kiss I've ever had. It was perfect. It was slow, passionate, loving, and felt like we were becoming one. It's one of those kisses you dream about. This man loves me. Did he fuck up? Yeah but he's gone above and beyond to make it up to me. I want this man.
Luke pulls back and looks me in the eyes. "I love you pretty girl." I reach up and put my hand on the side of his face. "I love you too Luke. But..." I drop my hand down and look him deep in the eyes and his eyes are searching mine pleading me not to finish. I have to though. One thing he loves about me is that I'm always honest with him. "Stephan still has part of my heart too. I have to be honest with you." He starts to take a step away from me. I reach out and grab his hands, but he pulls them back from me. "Fuck Cadence. I'm here! I'm right here in front of you! Why can't you just see me? Fuck!" He turns his back and starts to walk back inside. I turn to him and scream. "Because I scared ok! My heart can't take another hit! You bring out a side of me that scares the shit out of me. You make me lose control. From the very first moment with you I knew you were special. The way my body reacts to you scares me." He turns around and looks at me but something is different in his eyes. The soft look that he always has is gone. His jaw is clenched, his eyes are narrow, his stance is tense, he looks completely different.
