It Started In A Barn

Chapter 27

“Ready?” Gadget asked playfully

“For what?” ‘Bee asked

“That.” He replied before pointing at three vehicles behind their alts.

I grinned as I recognized each of them. One was a black GMC Topkick C4500 that was upgraded it looked like. The second was a yellow-green Search and Rescue style Hummer H2.  The third was a dark grey Ford F-450 super duty.

All of them were epic looking.

“Awesome.” I said quietly

Everyone looked in slight awe at them and Gadget.

“Catch.” Gadget said casually as he tossed a set of keys to each Ratchet, Ironhide, and Cade.

“Where did you even get these from?” Ratchet asked as he looked back and forth between the Hummer and Gadget

“I'll save that lovely father-son talk for later. Currently we've got a road trip to New Orleans.” Gadget answered as he leaned a bit tiredly up against his alt.

“Why New Orleans?” Drift asked

“Bolt's there.”

“Fair enough.” ‘Hide said

“Let's get out stuff and then make some decisions.” Queen said

Another several minutes went by. ‘Bee and I were all checked out. And each of the ‘bots had their weapons back.

It was funny seeing Drift look so gleeful as he got his swords back.

Ironhide went and got Silver, who woke up mostly but stayed in her wolf form as we left back to the parking lot.

“Alright so how's this going to work?” Lucky asked

“I'm fine with taking Zoey.” Drift said

“‘Bee can ride with me.” Queen then offered

“I'll ride with Gag’.” Soul’ said

“Silver can come with me.” Ironhide then finished

Soon everything was worked out. Cade, Tessa, and Lucky all rode in his new truck. Ratchet rode by himself in his Hummer. Ironhide and Silver would both be in the Topkick. I would ride with Drift. ‘Bee would ride with Queen.

Then ‘Bee’s alt got hooked up to Ironhide's truck, so it could be towed. And Soul’s alt was hooked up to Gadget's.

“Let's roll out then.” Optimus said with a playful smile

Gadget's P.O.V

I hopped into my passenger's seat while Soul got into the driver's seat.

“Fighting again hmmm.” She said as we trailed behind Hound

“Perhaps.” I yawned as I leaned back in my seat

Soul’ then glanced at me

“Always the temporary bad boy, aren't you?”

“Yup and ya know you love it.” I smirked back

Soul’ chuckled and kissed me

“That's why your eyes looks absolutely terrible.” She then commented

I only hummed back

“Go to sleep Gadg’. You've got time.” Soul’ then said softly

I yawned and looked at her tiredly.

“You sure ya can drive me?” I questioned

“C'mon Gadgy. Trust me.” Soul’ teased back

I chuckled and half closed my eyes.
