Two

"Truce?" Asked Alexis, laughing, and holding out his hand.

"Sure," I chuckled, placing my hand in his.

He pulled me to his bare chest, and we hugged each other warmly.

"Let's actually play some volleyball now, yeah?" He smiled at me.

"Sounds like a plan," I nodded in agreement.

"Alright then, Alexis, stop flirting with Nia and help me pull the net across," Hector complained, throwing me a smirk.

I glared back at him, and he chuckled silently.

"Why, you jealous?" Lex smirked at him, catching the end of the volleyball net that Hector had thrown to him. I helped him to pull it across to the other side, and pass it to Granit, who was waiting to tie it in place.

"It'd be a bit awkward, considering I have a girlfriend," Hector laughed. "I'm just saying, that's my best friend you're flirting with."

"Whatever Hec, he flirts with everyone," I chuckled, shoving Alexis, playfully.

"I bet he even flirts with Atom and Humber," Granit smirked.

"Um, yeah, they're my babies," Alexis laughed. "Enough about my bad behaviour. Can we insult someone else now?"

"We can play volleyball now," said Granit. "I'll go call Jack and Callum from the jacuzzi, and we can get a game going."

When we finally climbed out of the pool much later, which was just after sunset, we joined the rest of the team, who were sitting around Mesut's fire pit. Someone had ordered pizza for the entire team, and the scent of it suddenly made me realise how hungry I was. I grabbed a couple slices of meatlovers, and went to sit with Hector and Granit on the wall beside the pit. Hector put his arm around my waist, and I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Today has been exhausting," I sighed.

"Yeah," Hector nodded in agreement. "This is nice, though. It's been a while since we've all hung out as a team, just us and no one else."

"So much for getting to know the boss," Granit commented. "I've barely seen him, since we've been in the pool the entire time."

"Oh well, at least we had fun," I said, smiling.

As we continued to speak about the events of the day, we were joined by Alexis, Mesut, and Thierry himself. Each of them gave us a friendly greeting, and sat beside us.

"We were just saying we never got to speak much with you this afternoon, boss," Hector smiled at Thierry.

"Don't let it worry you," Thierry chuckled. "I'm sure we've got plenty of time ahead of us. Did you guys enjoy the pool?"

We all agreed that we'd had fun.

"I mean, apart from someone creeping up on me like a serial killer, yeah it was great," I laughed.

"Aw," smiled Alexis, "But you react so well, it's hard to resist the opportunity when it presents itself."

"You're such an idiot," I rolled my eyes at him.

Mesut noticed Thierry watching our exchange in curiosity, and he chuckled a little.

"Yes, they are always like this, before you ask," he stated. "But something tells me you yourself are gonna cause more arguments with Nia than Alexis does."

"Hey!" I protested.

"To be fair, Nia, we have argued every time we've spoken so far," Thierry smiled.
