The Sixth [Keith x Reader]

XIX.

It didn't destroy Zarkon, it only pushed him away from Voltron. Yet, we were careless. Zarkon deviated the laser to direct it to us and so we were attacked by our own super strong laser.

KEITH POV

"Y/N! Allura," yelled Shiro when they were hit by the laser and exploded.

No. It can't... be over. Not like that, not now. Y/N, you can't leave me. I have so much to tell you. I can't, I can't do it without you.

I will make him pay. I will make Zarkon pay for this!

"Everybody, listen. We have to fight. We have to channel all our energy. Visualize five becoming one. We have to focus everything we have into moving Voltron. We are the last thing standing in the way of Zarkon's total universal domination. I'm not giving up that fight! Are you Hunk," asked Shiro.
"No."
"Pidge?"
"Never!"
"Lance?"
"Let's go down swingin'."
"Keith?"
"I'm all in."

For her, I won't let Zarkon live again. This time, I will end him.

"Then, let's get Voltron back in this battle!"

Meanwhile

Y/N POV

"Princess, are you all right?" asked Coran, waking me up at the same time.
"I'm fine. How badly is the castle damaged," asked Allura.
"My head," I murmured as I went to the board to signal the damages. "Our power levels are decimated. Communications aren't working. We can't reach the paladins."
"We can't fight anymore," added Coran.
"We cannot give up," said Allura when Slav joined asking if we won. "Coran, you and Slav do what you can do get the castle functioning again. Kolivan, can you get me to the Komar?"
"It will be dangerous, but I know a way," replied Kolivan.
"You, Y/N and Antok come with me. We're going to have to attack the witch directly if we hope to stop that thing. Coran, the bridge is yours."
"No! You've been weakened by operating the Teludav. You can't face Haggar directly," interpelled Coran.
"We don't have a choice."

Each of us took a space scooter, like a underwater scooter but in space. We headed at the center of the ship decided to defeat Haggar. Not far from us Voltron was fighting against Zarkon.

Once we entered the ship, Antok launched his space scooter at some henchman, that I recognized to look like the one who attacked Keith and Thace with magic. With Antok's attack, the ritual to create the magic sphere was disrupted. Allura and Antok kicked the henchman off the flying crystal he was on. Kolivan and I joined them when they secured the crystal.

"Attack," yelled Haggar.

Kolivan and Allura fought together against one of the sorcerer while I and Antok fought the other. Contrary to us, Allura and Kolivan succeeded to take away one of them but Antok and I didn't. Antok was killed by Haggar's blast and she hit me in my left arm. It was a battle and I didn't have the time to cry at the sudden pain I felt before I lost all sensations in my arm. So I killed the henchman next to me, and koined Haggar with Allura. Haggar was overwhelmed by our attacks and sent to the ground revealing her face and her secret.

"You're Altean," constated Allura.

Haggar sent a powerful blast at Allura but something incredible happened. Allura was unharmed, untouched.

"Impossible," yelled Haggar as she sent another blast.
"You'll never destroy another innocent world," said Allura as she converged Haggar's power from her body into the ground to destroy Zarkon's ship.

Haggar disappeared before Allura or I killed her.

"Come on," shouted Kolivan.

Coran took us back on the castle. Voltron won against Zarkon. Everything was all right. We finally end it. We finally won against Zarkon. Maybe my wounds was worse than I thought because in the minute I relaxed I lost conciousness. But it was all right. Because everything is fine. Because the ones I love are all right.

Because it's an happy ending.

KEITH POV

"Shiro! Shiro," I yelled as I ran to the Black Lion immediatly when I landed in the castle.

I entered the cockpit to find that Shiro was missing.

"He's gone," constated Lance.
"Y/N," I asked as I turned around expecting to see her shocked.

But she wasn't here. Then, it hit me. Don't tell me something happened to her? No, no, it can't.

"Where's Y/N," I yelled to Allura.
"Keith, she's..."
"Where is she?!"
"We stabilized her, there's no more problem now," explained Coran.
"What do you mean," asked Lance.
"She was hit by Haggar's power and it seemed that her wound was more serious than I thought, because she was fighting so vively, but when we arrived, she... she dropped to the ground and she... she wasn't breathing anymore."

I'm so sorry. I wanted to apologize because this chapter was supposed to be posted last week but I don't know why I didn't have any motivation left. I'm also sorry because I found this chapter short and without a lot of interactions, I found it so disappointing. But I don't have much inspiration right now so I'm really sorry. Then, I wanted to signal you that, no it's not the end of this fanfiction.
