My eyes, red. A bit swollen. Glossy from the tears.

My hair, messy. It looks like a cheap wig you buy at the dollar store around Halloween.

This is getting ridiculous.

...getting? I passed ridiculous when I couldn't even bring myself to shower yesterday.

Browsing the contacts on my phone, I decide to call Karma. She's usually the one I would always complain to.

The phone rings a few times before a voice picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I-...Wait, who is this?" I ask, not recogninzing Karma's familiar voice.

"Oh, uh. It's Grayson. Karma's in the shower. Sorry." Grayson reveals himself.

"Oh, th-that's okay." I tell him before planning on hanging up.

"Are you okay?"

I press my cell up to my ear again, not catching what Grayson said.

"What?"

"I said are you okay? You sound kinda tired." He repeats.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'll just call Karma later-"

"You can talk to me." Grayson assures.

"Sorry, G. I'm just in need of a distraction right now-"

"Let's go somewhere then!" Grayson suggests in a joyous tone.

Looking like I do? No thanks.

"Maybe some other time-"

"You said you needed a distraction, (Y/N)." Grayson interupts me once more.

I sigh, finally giving in.

"Fine, let's go somewhere."

Grayson comes and picks me up, both of us hoping not to draw any attention to ourselves.

I somehow managed to make myself look halfway decent in the thirty minutes it took G to get here.

"Hey." I say, entering the car and shutting the door.

"Suuup." Grayson greets me with a typical dude voice.

I chuckle at his impression before he starts to drive.

"So, where are we going?" I ask occupying my mind.

Grayson shrugs. "Dunno, you hungry?"

I press my lips together. "Yeah, I could eat."

Grayson nods and we head to a pizza place in Santa Monica.

We eat and make small talk with a few awkward silences that Grayson doesn't seem to notice as much as I do. I have to admit, the pizza wasn't all that great but I appreciate G for trying.

"Thanks for uh, doing this." I thank him, keeping my voice low.

"You don't have to thank me. We're friends." He chuckles and looks out the window of the parlor. "This is what friends do."

I shrug to the twin. "I guess you're right."

Looking back, Grayson flashes a goofy smile at me, making me confused yet amused.

A random thought occurs to me as I finish the last bite of my pizza.

"You know, I've lived in L.A. for years now and I have never seen the Hollywood sign." I shake my head.

"Really?" Grayson baffles before checking the time on his phone. "It is only 8:30, wanna go check it out?"

We both drive back to Los Angeles and find ourselves at an observatory next to the Hollywood sign.

"It's cool seeing it up close." I mention as we both stare at the monument.

"You really need to get out more."

I smack Grayson's arm as he laughs.

"...I miss Josh."

Grayson looks at me, slightly muddled.

"The old Josh."

He nods, understanding.

I sigh. "Sorry for bringing down the mood."

"No worries." He raises his brows.

"Everything just went...down hill. It all collapsed so fast you know."

"Pft...that's the name of our album." Grayson tries to hide a giggle. I glare at him.

"Sorry." He whispers.

"Last month Josh and I were the happiest we'd ever been, then next thing you know he...doesn't even know who any of us are." My voice starts to break a bit at the end of my sentence. Luckily, everyone around us had left.

G looks at me, a bit unsure of what to do.

"I-I'm sorry, (Y/N)."

"No, I'm sorry." I swallow. "I-"

Click, flash of light.

Grayson and I turn around.

"Gotcha! Man, I'm gonna make so much money off of this picture."

Papparazzi.

"Dude, we aren't dating!" I raise my voice slightly.

"Doesn't matter. I'm selling this to every outlet out there." The man chuckles mischeviously.

I turn to Grayson, he looks pissed.

"Gray-"

Grayson walks over to the guy, grabs him by the shirt collar making him drop his expensive camera.

"Listen pal. Delete the photo or I end you." He growls.

Holy...

"Grayson..." I step closer to them, trying to get G to back off.

"Please, what's a stick like you gonna do?" The paparazzi threatens.

Grayson holds on tighter.

"Grayson, let go!" I yell.

He raises a fist.

I shut my eyes tight, Grayson looks over, softening his face as he grows less tense.

He then releases the man who takes off running with his camera.

Grayson lets out a short breath.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes, looking at his feet.
