Chapter 30: Take a Moment

"I know, I know," Pearl said, "They look peaceful when they sleep..."

"Heh, with dreams like they had before, who knows if they even get to relax in their dreams," Amethyst wondered out loud

"Maybe they're with Rose right now... just having a relaxing time," Pearl suggested

"I wish I could join 'em there," Amethyst chuckled

"Oh me too, Amethyst," Pearl added, "You could say I'm envious of them..."

"Come on... what's the worst that could happen..." Y/n mumbled in their sleep

"Sounds like they're having fun," Amethyst cracked a smile

"Speaking of fun... why are you sleeping with Y/n?" Pearl asked

"Oh... We were just chilling and I guess we both passed out," Amethyst told

"You didn't wake Y/n, did you?" Pearl asked

"No! Course not!" Amethyst panicked a bit

"Wha-..." Y/n shot up suddenly and opened their eyes, "I guess that's the worst that could happen..."

"Morning, Y/n," Amethyst greeted

"Oh, morning," Y/n yawned a bit as they stretched, "Morning, Pearl,"

"Oh good morning, Y/n," Pearl greeted

"Have a fun dream?" Amethyst asked

"Mhm," Y/n said, "And you all were in it,"

"What'd we do?" Amethyst asked

"Screamed," Y/n said, "That's really it,"

"What happened in this dream?" Pearl asked

"Well, we were at the temple," Y/n told, "And I had this umbrella I was showing to Steven and he told me not to open it because it was bad luck. But I said, 'What's the worst that could happen' and I opened it,"

"And?" Amethyst asked

"Some giant yellow gem lady ripped the roof off the temple and shouted 'WHO SUMMONED ME?!' and everyone just started screaming," Y/n told

"...Anything else happen?" Pearl asked, a bit in shock

"Nope, that was it," Y/n said, "What time is it?"

"About ten," Pearl told

"Mmm, interesting," Y/n groaned as they laid back down and closed their eyes

"I'll come back in an hour," Pearl laughed a bit as she gestured for Amethyst to follow, "Amethyst?"

"See you in an hour," Amethyst said as she laid down and put her arm over Y/n

"What am I going to do with you..." Pearl sighed as she left the room

"I have the power of God!" Y/n cheered as they rode into the temple on Amethyst's back, who had shape-shifted into a velociraptor

"How many humans did you frighten?" Pearl sighed in annoyance

"Not enough," Amethyst chuckled

"Only Sadie and Lars," Y/n said as they showed a bag of donuts, "Stevie! Catch!" Y/n said as they lobbed the bag to Steven

"Thanks!" Steven cheered as he caught the bag and opened it, grabbing a donut and eating it

"I was just about to come and get you two," Pearl commented

"I figured I'd make your job a little easier," Amethyst said as Y/n hopped, allowing her to change back into her regular shape

"Oh, well thank you," Pearl said
