I worried about Hudson. It was a very tense conversation with his parents and I wondered if he was okay. I've never really seen him angry, or frustrated. He was always impassive around me. If not, then he was flirting.
I don't know...I felt like connecting with him. I wanted to. Not only because of this deal, but because I wanted to know all of his layers. I was tired of seeing everything on the surface.
I wanted to know him deeper than I already do. My thoughts were strange to me, but they couldn't be more true.
After a while of thinking, A man with brown black hair in a nice cream colored tux approached me. Oh god. My nerves were now alerted once more.
As he stood in front of me, I noticed his eyes were blue, and he smelled really good. It was like vanilla and cream. It was nice. His jawline was sharp and I must admit, he was attractive. Very, attractive.
I was curious as to what he wanted- at the same time my hand came down to twirl the silver bracelet on my right wrist.
He gave me a small smile. "Brooklyn Miller." He greeted me while twisting the glass in his hand.
I nodded. "Hi." I replied softly.
"I have heard a lot about you, one thing being that you are breathe taking." He smiled. "And I must say, they weren't wrong." Okay, this guy was quite the charmer. I don't exactly know if it was working.
Maybe it was, but an odd part of myself I wanted him to continue, so I could see where this is going.
"Thank you." I gave a small smile as I tilted my head slightly. I took a deep breathe to calm my nerves a little.
"I understand you are going steady. I never thought I'd see the day." He smirked. I fought to raise my eyebrow because I was starting to become suspicious. "Hudson's not used to settling down."
I was quiet for a moment. Forcing myself to speak up, "I'm sorry. Who are you?" I asked.
"Excuse me. My name's Harrison Holt. I'm a spokesperson at Hughes Enterprises." Ah, Another businessman. Fantastic.
"So, you know Hudson?" Harrison nodded.
"Of course. We are close friends. Hudson and I go way back. I'm surprised he hasn't told you about me." I nodded again as Harrison smirked down at me. "Well, hopefully I can get to know you better. I'm curious about you and Hudson."
I just looked at him carefully. Harrison casually sipped his drink as the same smirk remained on his face.
"There's not much to know." I whispered. Harrison sighed and nodded looking around the room casually.
"I think there is. Hudson tells me everything. I just find it sort of weird that he hasn't really told anyone about you."
There was something about this guy...
It was clear that he suspected something between Hudson and I. A part of me thought it was just an innocent curiosity of his. Another part of me didn't trust him and felt like slipping off one of these six inch pumps and shoving it up his-
"Speak of the devil." Harrison smirked while he stared down at my dress. I narrowed my eyes before Hudson came before us. He seemed calm now and he was looking at Harrison suspiciously.
"What are you doing?" Hudson asked. His dark navy blue suit looked extravagant under the lights. His eyes met mine before going back to Harrison.
"Just getting to know your girlfriend. I'm surprised you haven't told her about me." Harrison clapped Hudson on the shoulder. They were about the same height. They both had dark hair, and they were both very...handsome. "Embarrassed of me?"
