Rocket x Reader PART 2

The First Night

Moments later, an ugly ass Ravager with a gnarled face spoke up. "A quarter? That lady offered us a million!"

"A quarter is only 25!"

Squabbling ensued until Yondu spoke up again. "We're not stupid enough to kill the Guardians of the Galaxy. The whole Nova Corps would be after us."

It was Kraglin's turn to speak. "I gotta say this one time, Cap'n. That ain't right. No matter how many times Quill screws up you always stick up for him. Like you don't care much about us."

Rocket and I exchanged oh shit looks.

"Maybe it's time for a change in leadership!" Gnarl face yelled. The Ravagers seemed to be divided, some siding with Yondu while others were against. I kept my bow trained on Yondu until a blast suddenly ripped through the fin on his head. He collapsed next to his arrow. Nebula appeared with a blaster and aimed it right at Rocket.

"Oh..." His ears drooped. He looked at me just before he was hit and knocked back several feet, letting out a groan as his body twitched with electricity.

"Bitch!" I shouted and released my bow. She easily dodged it and I reached for another which happened to be one of the electric ones I crafted. Before I could notch it, I was hit in the temple with a gun and my world went black.

My head pounded and I woke up to the sounds of laughing, chanting, yelling, and screaming. I was lying on my side, hands and feet bound, and my face was pressing into a metal grate in the floor. I pushed myself up into a sitting position but my world spun around.

"Well, well. Looks like the princess finally woke up. Got enough beauty sleep, little lady?" I was hauled up by a repulsive Ravager. "What's it to you, Snaggletooth?" I scrunched my face up and smashed my head into his. I figured my head already hurt, so what the hell?

The guy dropped me and held a hand up to his bloody nose. I smiled sweetly at him. "You little whore! I'm gonna-"

"Don't. Fucking. Touch her." Rocket growled dangerously low and even though he was tied to a chair, I don't doubt that he'd somehow do damage to my attacker.

"Or what? You'll give me rabies?"

Rocket snarled, fangs bared. My attention was brought to a man struggling against other Ravagers. "Captain! Save me! Pleeeaase!"

Yondu stared helplessly at the ground as another one of his loyal supporters was thrown into the hatch and released into the galaxy.

"You know why those people died? Because of you!" Gnarly face punched Yondu in the head. "And you're weak!" Another blow. "I'm gonna kill you after I deal with this girl here. And then the Ravagers will have a new leader- Taserface!" He said menacingly and pumped his fists in the air.

I gulped and tried to scoot away from the brute but he hauled me up by my bound wrists. "You are going to have some fun with us. And maybe, if you're good, we'll let you live. " One of his big, meaty hands reached out for my suit as the other Ravagers continued to cackle and laugh. Then another laugh joined in, silencing everybody else. Rocket's.

"I-I'm sorry. Did ya say your name was...Taserface?" Rocket asked.

"Yes." He said irritably.

"Do you shoot tasers out of your face?" I just gave Rocket my 'really?' look and he shrugged.

"No. It's metaphorical!" Taserface seemed happy with his answer.

"For what?"

"It's the name that strikes fear into the hearts of all who hear it!" He looked around at his followers and they all just slightly nodded. "Aaah, okay." I heard one say, not really buying it.

"Now, this girl will be mine and-"

Rocket busted up laughing again. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Taserface. I just think of you waking up in the morning and saying to yourself while you look in the mirror, 'You know what'd be a really kickass name? Taserface!" He impersonated the guy's voice perfectly and then started laughing hysterically while kicking his feet. Some of the Ravagers started snickering. "What was your second choice? Scrotum hat?"

At this, everyone in the room doubled over in fits of laughter, tears streaming down people's faces and some even rolling in the floor. All except for Taserface who got right up in Rocket's face and held a knife to his throat.

"Change of plans. I'll kill you first." Spittle dripped down his disgusting beard but Rocket didn't back down. Rocket opened his mouth to return a threat but was cut off by none other than Nebula.

"That's enough killing for today." The Ravagers parted for her like the sea as she made her way to Taserface. "The Kree want them alive." The exchanged a few words and settled on an agreement. My (e/c) eyes locked with Nebula's cold dark ones. I saw no pity in them but I did see a flash of something else. Regret? I wasn't sure because it disappeared as quickly as it came.

Taserface and a few Ravagers threw the three of us in a cell. "We deliver you to the Kree in the morning. You won't live much longer after that." Our captors turned to leave.

"See ya later, Taserface! Oh, by the way! Tell the others I said 'Hi', Taserface!!" Rocket had smashed his face against the door to yell at the bastard and I sat back and laughed. Until I realized someone was missing.

"Where's Groot?" I asked, panicking.

"He's in a cage. They've got him." Rocket muttered sadly.

Yondu sat leaning against a wall. "I deserve this. All the terrible things I've done, I had this coming."

"Whoa, slow down there drama queen. You may deserve this, but I don't. We gotta get outta here." Rocket paced the cell like a tiger in a cage.

Yondu went into telling us his whole life story in about 2 minutes. I started to actually feel sorry for him. "You know something? I was starting to get a little warm feeling and then it was ruined by those disgusting-ass teeth." Rocket stood in front of Yondu with his arms crossed and Yondu's smile turned into a frown.

"Where's Quill?"

"He went off with his old man. Say, why didn't you deliver him like you were supposed to?" I asked.

Without hesitation he replied, "He was skinny. Could fit into places I couldn't. Was good for theivin'." He paused a moment. "That gives me a good idea, but we're gonna need your little friend."
