Chapter 22: First Date

"How about we go out for lunch since we slept pretty late and it's past the time for breakfast? Then I can take you to the park?" He asked and I smiled, "Jungkook anything would be amazing just because I'm with you." I giggled and he blushed with his adorable smile before we put on our shoes, he then grabbed his keys as we made our way out the house.

When we got into his car he started driving and I turned on the stereo. "SugarFree" by T-ARA was on and Jungkook immediately turned it up, he started singing the lyrics really loud and I couldn't help but laugh at him. Eventually I joined in and we ended up blasting girl group music and singing at the tops of our lungs the whole way to the cute lunch place Jungkook was taking me.

When he parked the car I was still dying of laughter and he was laughing with me, "well that was an interesting journey!" I giggled and he locked the car, "at least it wasn't boring!" He retaliated and he wasn't lying.

When we got inside it was really homely and cosy, we were gonna have a cooked lunch and Jungkook said that he'd make us a cute picnic for later.

When we were seated at our table we started to look at the menu and I decided I was going to have my favourite meal Kimchi jjigae whereas Jungkook was going to have the Peking Duck, we ordered and had to wait for our food for a while.

Suddenly Jungkook's smiling expression changed to a look of slight fear and worry, he had averted his eyes to something behind me and I was afraid to turn around to see what it was, "Jungkookie? What's up?" I asked and he gulped before looking back at me.

"Uh, Yoongi's here, and he's with Seulgi." He mumbled, the last time either of us saw him he had Jungkook pushed against the wall and was pretty much eating his face.

I'm sure Jungkook would feel more awkward than I do since he had to push him away and run after me, but to be honest I'm not surprised he got with Seulgi so fast, but now I know that this has made our time on our date a little worse.

"Hey, don't worry about them, don't let them spoil our date, they probably won't even notice us over here anyway." I tried to reassure him and he nodded slightly, "yeah, you're right, I'm sorry." He smiled and grabbed my hand over the table making me blush and have to look away from his eyes.

Our food arrived and we thanked the waitress before beginning to eat and discuss what we would do for the rest of the day.

Jungkook explained that he wanted to take me to the park and up to this hill he knows, where apparently you get a good view of the sunset, so we could have our picnic up there.

Once we had finished eating Jungkook paid, as usual, and I thanked him before we got up to leave, until we were stopped by the one thing we forgot about.

"Woah wait, Jungkook?" We stopped on our way out as we heard Suga's all too familiar voice, "yeah." The said boy mumbled with a frown evident across his face, he glared daggers into Yoongi while Seulgi glared at me.

"You're here with this freak? Is he who you ran off to last night after you completely rejected me?" He asked, gesturing to me and standing from his chair. Jungkook grabbed my hand and moved me behind him protectively, making my heart flutter.

"Babe, don't, there's no point, besides, you've got me now right?" Seulgi piped up from her seat and Yoongi sighed still staring into Jungkook's soul, "look Yoongi, you need to understand I don't like you like that, I love Jimin, and I don't care what you have to say about me, just don't you dare hurt him."

Jungkook's stern tone even sent shivers down my spine and yet I was the one being protected, Yoongi frowned a little and looked Jungkook up and down in disgust before stepping back, "Fine, you've changed, Jungkook, I miss the old guy, but do what you want, like I care." He mumbled before turning to get in his seat.

"Come on, lets go." Jungkook then huffed quietly to me before we made our way out of the restaurant, "Just so you know Jimin, what I said was true, I love you and I'm so glad you helped me become the way I am now. I'm actually me now. It's not like you changed me or anything! I had changed myself into what I was before, you just helped me realise that I didn't need to pretend anymore, I can just be me. So thank you."

After he finished explaining the tears were in my eyes again and he kissed me as he held both of my hands, when we pulled apart he wiped a tear from my cheek and frowned, "why are you crying?" He asked with worry and I felt like a sappy idiot.

"I don't know." I giggled making him smile, "I'm just really happy, I love you Jungkook, thank you." I hugged him and he lifted me off the ground to spin me round before putting me back on the floor after I had squealed and laughed.

"Come on, off to the park!"

Hey I wrote another chapterrr, I don't know how often I'll get chapters done for a while, it's the half term holidays for a week but it's my birthday soon.

Also I'm in year 11 now so a lot of homework and preparation for my GCSEs is adding pressure and decreasing my free time...  😔🔫
