"Sky, I don't know if...that's such a...good idea." I heard the monitor beeping and I glanced at it, seeing the heart beat racing. "I can't...." He trailed off, a loss for words.
"I can do that to you?" I asked, amazed.
"We are bonded still so there are a lot of things that come with it."
"Like what?"
"Sensing each other, feeding, lust and..."
"And what?"
"Death, if I die you die."
"I'd have it no other way. Even if I barely know you, I wouldn't want to be alone." He smiled and kissed me. I laughed softly and then felt a pang of guilt for Jace.
"We can touch each other because of the bond, that allergy of yours is excluded if you're bonded to a vampire. Interesting huh?" I nodded.
He didn't want to protect you, give up on him... A voice whispered in my head.
I couldn't...wouldn't.
Why not? He's only failed you and brought you misery.
But I love him...don't I?

Her mind was strong, she fought it and I knew she was special beyond belief. Her body, mind and spirit were all different from any other I'd ever seen. I wanted Galen to have her because I didn't deserve her. That Jace character, did he even care about her like Galen did? I could see it in his eyes. He admitted to her and the sincerity of when he said it. She would push me to the limit to convince her. I'd been a horrible brother to him, I needed to change. This would be the start of it.

I stayed with him, holding onto him. I was afraid if I let go he'd disappear again.
"Sky...your scared..." He said, looking at me.
"I don't want to lose you again." I whispered. He tucked my head under his chin.
"I'm not going anywhere." I layed down on his chest completely relaxed. Those minutes turned into hours of just holding each other. I didn't know when I did but I dozed off and awoke hearing the steady beep of a heart beat. Galen was stroking the top of my head and kissed my forehead occasionally. It felt so good to feel safe, something I hadn't felt in awhile. The door creaked open.
"Galen we have your results...?" A young nurse said. "Oh I didn't know you had a visitor."
"Mm it was unexpected."
"Visiting hours are long over." She said, giving me a glare.
"I don't really care. I'm staying here to help out my kind, don't tell me what I can't do." He snapped.
"Galen I'll get in the way if I stay, maybe I should go." I said.
"But Skyler-"
"Yes you should, sorry it's our policy." She said, snickering. Galen was completely oblivious, his eyes on me.
"I'll get Adrian to bring me back." I said, smiling. I got up to leave but was pulled back down on the bed. He kissed me roughly and pulled me on top of him. I tried to pull back but his strength made it impossible.
"Galen!" I hissed. "Stop!" He reluctantly let go and let out a sigh.
"It's so boring without you." He said, pouting. He looked so cute doing that.
"I'll be back, promise." I said, kissing him on the forehead. As I turned to leave I heard the nurse whisper, what a slut.
"Hey nurse can I get some blood?" He asked.
