I'm allergic to vampires! Literally.... Chp 15

Start from the beginning

"Yeah sure," She held her wrist out to him. He took it and savagely bit down. She shrieked. I shivered slightly, my back to the door. I didn't know what made me stay but he looked up at me as he was drinking and smirked. Oh I get it...

"Bye Galen." I walked into the hallway and spotted Adrian asleep in one of the chairs.

"Thank you, Adrian." I whispered. I nudged him and he jumped.

"Wha-"

"We can go now." I said.

"Guess we'll head back to our old boarding house."

"Boarding house?"

"Yeah, Galen and I have stayed there before our parents disappeared."

"Disappeared?"

"Left us, were killed, who knows I don't really care."

"You mean you have no idea what happened to them?"

"Nope, it doesn't matter they weren't like parents to us. We had to fend for ourselves, our mom was a prostitute at a strip club and our dads just horny young vampires."

"Wow...and I thought my life was rough."

"Yeah well we probably just have different views of a terrible life. I grew up in a terrible background and you grew up with violence and parental guidance, see how that works?" He said, sarcastically. I laughed.

"I promised Galen I'd come back is that okay?" I asked.

"Yeah sure, he'll be back at the house in a couple days."

"But doesn't he live at the club?"

"No, he works at the bar and I was staying at the club for a couple days with you so the council wouldn't get you. He gets paid in blood, that's why he worked there."

"The vampire council has the most control in New York city why would that be a good place to hide?"

"It's like placing a piece of hay in a hay stack. You're an average girl in a huge city. Not many people know what you look like and it was very challenging to track you down, not to mention, getting into the council guard to capture you."

"Huh guess I wasn't an easy catch?" I joked. He chuckled.

"I'm gonna like you hanging around." He said. We walked out of the facility and Adrian picked me up.

"I can walk, must I remind you I have legs." I said.

"But it's more fun this way." He said in a joking matter. He set me back down.

"You can't even run in here anyway." It was just at the peak of dawn and all the creatures of the night were going to be less active.

"Okay now we can speed things up."

"What?" He picked me back up again.

"Hey!" The forest turned into blurs. We appeared in front of a white house. It had six windows with green shutters that blended in with trees in the front and a large porch on the bottom. I noticed a balcony on the second story. It seemed to be a bit rustic, unused. Trees surrounded the house almost leaning on the mossy roof. I walked up the porch steps, hearing them creak of age. I turned the rusted door knob. I toured the house by myself, exploring. It had a massive kitchen, an expensive looking dining room, living room and den. The spiral staircase that led upstairs, had a crystal chandelier at the top of it. The upstairs contained five bedrooms and a center room where the staircase met the second floor. I slid down the staircase banister and found Adrian in the kitchen drinking what I thought to be warmed up blood.
