A few hours after you sat quietly on your computer with your notebook and some papers, you had a text in front of you. Personally, you liked what you came up with, but you thought that it didn't sound like Kira2 at all! 'If I send a message pretending to be Kira2 when I don't even sound like her, it will make it very clear to the Taskforce, that I'm a fake.' You bit your lip and tried to decide whether you should change it or not. 'Will it make any difference? If they know that I'm a fake they won't set the real Kira2 free, which is a good thing. But what will they do then? Ignore my message?' You tried to think of something, that you could include. 'What do I know that the Taskforce knows, but not the world? Their secret messages with Kira2? That they captured Kira2 in private? Should I include that to show them that I know more than they thought and that I am a threat to them?' You knew that this would result in them looking for you, but you knew that Hideki could save you from all this. And once you were captured by the Taskforce, you had a chance to tell L the truth in private once they set you free and save him and Hideki from their teammate Kira. There was just one little question left. 'Will the Taskforce answer me as the NPA or as Kira?' you asked yourself and tried to find possible reasons why they would answer you as Kira or the NPA. You didn't even know which one was better for you! Until now Kira never said a word. All he did was fall into L's trap. In everything else, he just watched without doing anything. So there was a chance for him to keep quiet this time as well.
You read through your text one more time after you edited it and realized, that you should include one more thing. 'When the taskforce gets this message, all of them will hear it. I should include a secret message for Hideki to warn him, that it's me and not another murderer and that I'm doing all this for a very important reason. He is clever enough to keep the secret message for himself and interpret it correctly.' And you knew exactly what you wanted to say.
"To the world and especially those, who think that they caught me. I, Kira's double, am still free. You are underestimating me, but who said, that this was a bad thing? I could stay quiet and let you believe that you caught me but my job is to protect the weak, the poor, and the innocent from the evil. Catching a person in my name gave me some time to distance myself from you, who don't believe in our justice. Now I speak up and order you to set the innocent girl free, that is suffering because of me and you. If you don't do as I said, then I'm forced to act upon justice. Be careful, because the devil is with you, but when it comes to light, that I can trust you without any regrets, then you will know who I really am..."
"When it comes to light, that I can trust you without any regrets, you will know who I really am..." That was what Hideki said to you in your first meeting. 'I'm sure that he will remember that!' you were determined. You planned to send the message to SakuraTV and let them inform the NPA about your message. You didn't want to let it go publish and risk a chaos amongst the people or that other detectives will start looking for you. This was all between you and the NPA, even though your message started with "To the world...". You also thought that if this message didn't go public, then Kira won't be able to message you. In other words, the NPA can't fake a message from Kira to you. But since Kira is part of the NPA, then he will plan the message with the rest of the team. And he wouldn't want another Kira to fall into L's trap. You were sure that the answer from the Taskforce will not want you to show yourself or any other information about Kira. 'If that was the outcome, then I know that Kira is, in fact, Light Yagami!' You were determined.
As usual, you made sure, that the tape was clean and that your voice wasn't recognizable. You added a printed note saying that the NPA should publish their answer. You didn't want to risk being caught when you go and check for their answers in the TV station. Since you weren't Kira, you couldn't control people and make them bring the message to you. Once your message reached the TV station, you waited. It took the NPA a while, but two days later, they published a broadcast, that was meant to you:
"Here is the NPA. We are broadcasting this message to contact the person, who pretended to be another Kira. You are a liar! Neither are you Kira's double nor will we fulfill your wish and set our suspect free. You are the evil, who is not strong nor clever enough to execute the plan about changing the world. You hide and think that a threat will make us do as you wish? Our job is to put justice on earth and whatever your plan is, we will never cooperate with you or trust you. Soon, you will be in our hands and we will execute you and the real Kira to free this world from your madness..."
'What a surprise!' you thought. 'They did not answer me as Kira and they don't believe me, as I expected. But... are they trying to provoke me to see what my reaction will be?' you wondered. This message didn't sound neutral at all. There were hatred and some anger in it. But why? You asked yourself. Is the NPA sick of Kira and his case? Or did they do that on purpose to show the world that they will defeat the bad and are confident enough to try and provoke me? Maybe they think that Kira is out there and they are trying to provoke him instead of me!
'At least I will wait and see if Kira or his double will try to contact me or not. My message never went public, but the NPA's answer did. If Kira was really part of the NPA, then he will do no move, since he knows about everything and lets his team act. But if he wasn't part of the Taskforce, then this message might provoke him and he will either do anything to the NPA or try to find me, just like Kira2 tried to.' You decided. ' But I still wonder, why they didn't react to the last sentence... Did Hideki suggest that it didn't mean anything and kept the true meaning of it to himself? I really hope that he got this damn message!' You thought and sighed.
A week passed by and no sign of either Hideki or one of the Kira's. It was surprisingly quiet, and Hideki's phone was still turned off. Your theory was kind of proven with this and you were sure that Light was Kira and certainly sure that Misa was Kira2. You couldn't just sit and wait in your house. You wanted to go to the Headquarters and request to talk to Hideki. You knew that it was just an Alias and that he was hiding his real name, but his team should understand that you meant him. You still didn't come up with an excuse to talk to him, but more importantly, you didn't know whether you should show your FBI ID or not. Mr. Mogi knew that you were an investigator, but you could say that you are just a friend or something and hope that Light won't suspect anything.
'It's time for my next move. This time I will attack!' You thought as you decided that you needed to talk to the Taskforce.
