"Shit, sorry."
"Know anyone by the name of Killua Zoldyck?"
Killua number 2 laughed under his breathe, "I told you so!" He was ignored, to his efforts. The conversation progressed outside the walls trapping them in that little, cramped space.
"Nasty creature!" The archangel bellowed, pissed off. With that followed a piercing screech from the fallen angel and Killua dropped his head, aware that he had probably been sent back to hell.
"This is your fault." The clone said, a smile creeping up his face, skin stretching and he tilted his head at an unusual angle. You're giving me a headache. I'll call you headache. . . . Killua thought.
"Fuck you, headache."
This seemed to take him back. "W-what?"
"I said fuck you."
"Right back atcha."
Y/N's P.O.V.
As the minutes passed by and my nails got shorter due to me biting them out of anxiety, I started to cross the floor in impatient strides.
"Girl, stop." Jace frowned, leaning back on the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Sorry." I apologized without actually being sorry. How much longer?
Gon stopped tapping his foot, frustration in his voice, "Let's just get the hell out of here already!" But there was something else embedding his tone, something darker in the depths of his eyes that was so well hidden I was sure I was the only one who noticed.
"A couple more minutes. . ." Jeremy purposed, an edge to his voice and he seemed distracted, far away somehow.
"It doesn't matter if the archangels are looking for specific people, they'll take anyone. Including you guys." Gon stated desperately.
"You're an angel. Let us deal with our own crap." Drake narrowed his eyes at the spiky, green-tip haired boy, "You have no reason to worry, right, Your Highness?"
"Aww, is someone trying to protect us?" Jeremy smirked mischievously, crossing his legs awkwardly. "Or are they hiding something?"
I didn't expect for Gon to react, but he winced as if backing away from pain. "Stop."
"Or what?"
"Or I'll smash your skull, bastard."
"That's not what happened last time." Jeremy mused.
"Your gay is showing!" Drake called out, making the demon blush in return, pink tainting his cheeks and the ends of his neck.
"You're speaking rainbows, hon'!" Jace added, and their howling laughter seemed to drown out my worries. Even if it didn't last long. All of us were scared, all of us were shaking and all of us were fighting our thoughts drowning us in the only place that was unreachable and unescapable, our minds.
"Over there!" A stranger yelled, and my eyes widened, as did everyone else's.
Right when we were about to sprint towards the exit, Killua's voice called over to us from the opposite side of us, his clone at his side, looking around casually as if we wouldn't die if we were caught. As if this was a game, meaningless. I really wish that was the case, but it wasn't. This was reality, it was real. "Over here!"
Without a moment's hesitation, we followed both Killuas and let them lead us. I looked over my shoulder every now and then to make sure we weren't being followed, and so did Marshall and Killua. Marshall had been trying to get a signal response from his phone- anything. No dumb luck so far. Rotten. I felt Killua run up next to me and take my hand in his, lightly squeezing. I never would have thought such a small gesture could be so effective on me, sending a wave of strength through all over me. We would get through this, get out alive.
Suddenly, we came to a halt when a figure's giant shadow flew above our heads, stopping in front of us and pointing a spear-like weapon, his gaze firm, piercing holes on our skin. I knew more were on their way. What would we do?
"What are you doing?" Killua yelled, his eyes trailing behind his clone who had stepped a few feet ahead, eyes closed and it looked as if he was. . . praying.
"I never believed in Gon," He said, "But I hope that he gives me strength."
I watched as he plunged himself against the red angel who yelped. Two things happened in a flash and the fight was over in less than a few seconds,
1. Killua 2 had ripped off the archangel's head, separating slowly, painfully, the neck from the head. It was hard to watch.
2. Killua 2's shirt soaked up with blood. He had been stabbed in the center of his chest and was dying.
We all as a group surrounded him and his fragile, coughing body. He was clutching his side, rolling around and making horrible, aching noises of unbearable pain. Then, he wasn't Killua anymore. He wasn't a he. Instead, a girl with long, black hair and the same blue hued orbs as Killua laid there.
"No-" Killua's voice broke, collapsing next to her. "No." That was the first time, ever, that I had seen him cry. Tears streamed down his face drained of color, faded and worn.
Finally, the girl closed her eyes. They didn't open again and her breathing came to a stop. She was gone. Forever.
"I'm gonna tell her." The white haired Zoldyck told Gon, glaring at him with such intensity it made me jump when he directed his gaze at me, anticipating what he was going to say next.
"Go ahead."
"Are you crazy?!" Jeremy screeched, the veins popping out of his forehead, he was looking between Gon, Killua, and me. "Yes you are insane." He muttered under his breathed, shoving his hands inside his pocket with a huff.
"Y/N, have you ever wondered why I'm a fallen angel?" I opened my mouth but he shook his head, "Have you ever wondered why Gon's not?"
"Yes." I lied. I'd never given it much thought, I guess I didn't want to know.
"I fell in love with a mortal." He said, looking defeated and hurt, "That mortal is you."
