"I'm an enigma," Y/n laughed

"The strangest thing is, Amethyst, you think you have to listen to them!" Peridot laughed, "You're the one who should be in charge!"

"Ha, that's your best joke yet," Amethyst said

"No, really. Pearl is a pearl, Garnet is a fusion, I don't even know what he's supposed to be!" Peridot pointed to Steven

"Hey!" Steven frowned

"Despite their capabilities, Y/n is supposedly a human, so they clearly can't be in charge," Peridot waved off

"Supposedly?" Y/n frowned

"I have my doubts about your true origins," Peridot peered

"Ronaldo 2.0 over here," Y/n groaned

"You're the only Crystal Gem, that's actually a Gem!" Peridot told Amethyst

"Umm," Amethyst laughed nervously, "What?"

"You outrank everyone on your team. They should be listening to you! You're a strong, singular, fully-functional soldier, despite the fact you're defective," Peridot said

"Okay, let's just end this con-" Y/n began

"Defective?" Amethyst questioned

"Well sure! You're small!" Peridot said

"So?" Amethyst crossed her arms

"Well, you're not supposed to be! Hold on, wait, wait. Let me guess," Peridot walked over to one of the holes in the wall, "This! This is the hole you came out of! Too small, too low. The exit marks look 500 years newer than every other hole. Hmm, this place must have been empty when you came out. No wonder you have no idea what you're supposed to look like!"

"Peridot," Steven went to cut off

"What was I supposed to look like?" Amethyst asked

"Well, you're a quartz. They're huge, loyal soldiers. You should be twice your size. Broad shouldered, intimidating. But you simply stayed in the ground too long," Peridot informed

"Are you saying I'm wrong?!" Amethyst raised her voice

"Gemetically speaking, yes. When you think about it it's all so..." Peridot began to laugh, "Funny!"

"Amethyst?" Steven looked up to her

"Hey, soldier. Maybe you can help me get this hunk of drill off-" Peridot began, but Amethyst interrupted by violently summoning her whip and slicing the drill clean off, "See, look at that! You can do everything a normal quartz can do. Let's head back, and shove this thing in Pearl's face!"

"Amethyst? Are you ok?" Steven asked

"Don't worry about it," Amethyst said

"I'm kind of worrying about it..." Y/n told

"Oh, it's lovely! To think we'd be using the same technology that started all this to fix it! This drill is pure irony!" Pearl laughed

"Actually, it's mostly carbonite," Peridot informed

"Y/n, how is the tungsten coming along?" Pearl asked

"I found a supplier, but it's kind of costly," Y/n said

"Don't tell Greg," Pearl whispered as she quickly handed Y/n a debit card with Greg's name on it

"See no evil, speak no evil," Y/n said as they dialed the supplier and walked away

"Oh oh oh oh, Amethyst! Check out this... hmm..." Peridot laughed as she grabbed a hammer, "rhythmatic pulverizer! That's funny, I'm so funny!" Peridot laughed hysterically as she rolled on the ground
