《Chapter 11》

"Do not ask useless questions." You didn't know what to say. It was the first someone yelled at you like that. Well other than your father.

"How can you just go and admit something you didn't even do? You even did the complete opposite by helping me go to the nurse office. Can you imagine how much hatred you will get? For nothing?"

"I don't care. I'm not here to capture people's hearts or anything stupid like that." You snapped back.

"But you're not here to gain people's hatred either. That would only result of them hurting you and preventing from what you actually want to do." Your eyes widened for a second and you looked away. She had a point. She was totally right.

Jiyeon signed, relieved that you didn't do something so horrible.

"And plus, you were also ready to ruin your friendship with Jiyeon just like that. You probably would've lost her trust."

"No, it's not-"

"Then what." You pressed your lips into a line not knowing what to say back. You then looked away again.

Chaerin then looked at Hyekyo who's face was red from anger.

"And you. Miss 'immature good-for-nothing but lying'. You're not a princess missy, so stop going on spreading fake rumors about people just because you're jealous."

She then smirked "One thing that makes me happy, is that everyone knows now how much of a liar you are anyway."

Hyekyo glared at her then at you before storming out of the cafeteria.

Chaerin looked at the students "I just tripped and fell on the stairs because of my shoelaces and the many books I was holding. Luckily, Y/n was there to help." She explained. Some nodded as a response. She then approached you and spoke quietly.

"Y/n, I'm sorry for yelling at you like that. I just didn't like how you acted. Pride is a good thing but don't let it get the best of you. And also thanks a lot for helping me." She spoke in an almost motherly tone.

You were looking at your side. But your eyes slowly trained to your shoes. You nodded your head slowly. You didn't know why but her words had an effect on you. Her voice was so calming. So familiar....

"Your welcome. And thank you too." You spoke in a barely audible voice.

"For what?" She asked a bit confused.

"Just thank you."

She smiled warmly and ruffled your hair a little bit before leaving. The cafeteria that was once quiet became noisy with people's comments. You stood still trying to decide whether you should go out or just sit down and act normally as if nothing happened.

"How long are you planning on standing there?" Jiyeon asked. "Sit down."

You looked at her and hesitantly sat down.

"I'm sorry." You whispered quietly after a few minutes of silence. Jiyeon opened her mouth to say something but you stood up and walked away.

Once you were out of the cafeteria you sighed heavily. What the heck just happened?

You didn't have a sharp reason for leaving but you needed space, you needed to take a breaths and let out some. You just wanted a break.
