"The holidays aren't over yet." She reminded everyone in the living room. "So that means we can't stop celebrating."

"What are you getting at, Angie?" Eliza asked, bouncy a giggling Philip on her lap.

A wicked grin appeared on Angelica's face. "Well, remember a while ago when we all went to the Winter's Ball? What if we had another one? We could hold in here, and invite everyone from the properties nearby to attend. It would be the biggest party in upstate New York."

"That actually sounds... like a lot of fun. I know I enjoyed the last Winter's Ball." Y/N admitted, sending a quick glance toward Lafayette, her cheeks blushing lightly.

Eliza nodded. "I'm in. Lord knows we deserve some enjoyment."

"Great! We'll hold in on the 30th, that gives us three days to prepare. I'll send out the invitations, you guys work on cleaning the place up, and getting your outfits ready." Angelica decided.

Hercules and Adrienne shared a knowing look.

"Funny you mention outfits." Hercules grinned, glancing quickly at Adrienne. "Adrienne and I have actually been working on some late Christmas presents for you ladies. We made one for Peggy as well, but... we can just give it to her when she gets back."

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "You made what?"

"Dresses. We made you dresses for Christmas." Adrienne smiled, her English had gotten significantly better since from spending so much time with Hercules.

Hercules smiled, nodding. "We made each of you a dress. Would you like to see them?"

"Yes!" Y/N, Eliza, and Angelica all answered in unison.

"We'll go get them."

A moment later, Hercules and Adrienne returned with a few boxes and handed a specific box to each girl.

Angelica opened hers first, pulling out a lovely cream colored gown. Pink and gray petals were intricately woven across the dress, and the neckline and sleeves were lined with a dark maroon color.

"This is absolutely perfect!" Angelica decided, holding the dress against her body. "It must've taken you two forever to design."

Eliza was next, producing a sky blue colored dress from her box. It was simple and elegant, a white panel running down the front of the skirt, ruffles lined each side of the panel.

"Hercules, Adrienne, this is beautiful! I don't know I can ever repay you two." Eliza gushed, tracing he patterns on her dress.

Finally it was Y/N's turn to open her box. She was surprised when she pulled out a purplish gray dress, made of silks, linen, and an abundance of tule. It was more airy than either Angelica or Eliza's dresses, and it bore a resemblance to the dress Y/N had worn to the Winter's Ball when she had first met everyone. Still, this dress was different.

The dress was more grown up than the one she had worn all that time ago. It wasn't nearly as girly, but more sophisticated and mature. The purple color wasn't nearly as bright as the first dress. This gown was made for a woman, not a girl.

"I... I don't know what to say. This dress couldn't be anymore perfect, thank you!" Y/N grinned.

The night of the ball came quickly.

It was evening, and guests had begun to arrive. Eliza, Angelica, Lafayette, and Hercules were all downstairs with the children welcoming guests. Y/N was still getting upstairs, while Adrienne helped her into the dress.

"So? What do you think?" Adrienne asked as she finished buttoning the back of Y/N's dress.

Y/N smoothed the front of the dress down, and examined her reflection carefully.

"I look hot." Y/N concluded with a smile.

That seemed to make Adrienne laugh. "You are very much so. Ready for ze ball now?"

Y/N bit her lip lightly. "Well, I don't know. Balls always make me nervous. What about you? What's your opinion on balls?"

"Moi?" Adrienne asked. "Well, I've grown up going to balls. I am used to zem. I must've gone to a couple dozen of balls in the few months Lafayette and I were in Paris."

Y/N smile dropped quickly. "You and Laf went to balls together? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, you were engaged to him."

"Y/N, you 'ave no need to worry. Trust me, Lafayette loves you. His only words were of you, his only thoughts of you, always." Adrienne assured. "Besides, I 'ave found an interest in someone else."

Y/N blushed when Adrienne had said Laf only spoke of her. Was it true? She wanted desperately to believe it.

"Ah yes, that someone else. You and Hercules have gotten quite close, Adrienne." Y/N smirked at the French girl.

Adrienne shrugged. "Oui, it's true. I find myself quite... taken with the man. He's quite a flirt, really, but I can't help myself."

"If you asked me," Y/N responded, "I think he's quite taken with you as well."

"I can 'ope." Adrienne said with a sigh. "Now, its time to party."

A/N: Hello! This update took forever, and it's sort of a filler chapter to be honest. Sorry if it was boring, hopefully the next chapter will be more interesting.
