Peridot POV

I couldn't believe this. WHY, out of every place to be, HE WAS HERE. I growled. It annoyed me even more, at the fact he was talking to MY lapis.

My Lapis?

Why was she even here? I shook my head. Stop. No time for that.

But I couldn't stop. He was definitely hitting on her, and though she wasn't smiling, her face was red. I couldn't read her expression, but I had to stop him.

I marched over, tapping him on the shoulder.

He turned, that dumb, pure white grin on his face. It widened at the sight of me, while my brow furrowed as his voice came.

"PERI! what are you doing here? I didn't take you for the party type!" I felt a little dizzy, but stood my ground.

"I could say the same for you." At my voice, I could see lapis's face turn, she was just as surprised.

He kept smiling. "I don't think this girl wants to talk to you, Emil." I wasn't acting very nice, but was I really supposed to? After what he'd done... he was not getting lapis.

Emil's eyes narrowed. And his grin disappeared. "Why do you care? Do You know this..." he paused, looking back fondly at MY lapis "...beautiful creature? Mind introducing us?" He turned back, his smile once again making me angry.

I clenched my fist. "I... I do. And she doesn't want to talk to you." I stood up taller, puffing my chest. "And I don't think I appreciate you being here either, Emil.

He laughed. Laughed at me. I was steaming. I wanted to punch that stupid look of his face.

"You still angry about that? C'mon, it was years ago..."

I cut him off, shouting louder. "YOU STABBED ME IN THE BACK, EMIL!" I took a deep breath and looked at him again. "I will never. Ever. Forget."

His happy smile faded. His eyes flickered with annoyance. "Why don't we take this outside then?" I flared my nostrils.

"Deal." I pushed him back towards the side exit, I heard steps following, but I didn't care.

As soon as i pushed him out the door he stumbled, turning back to face me with a smirk.

"Looks like my doll came to watch me destroy you..." I turned to see lapis staring at me. Our eyes met...

Emil's fist connected with my face and i stumbled back, grunting. I wiped my face and looked up.

Oh HELL NO.

I growled, running forward and punching into his stomach, slapping his face, then flipping him onto the ground. I stepped back.

"WHY DON'T YOU JUST QUIT NOW? YOU KNOW I'LL WIN." I screamed. EMIL was NOT taking lapis. Not after he already took so much.

"Because, I'm fighting for a lady." He stood,  and winked at something behind me, I assume lapis, and my fury grew.

" FUCK YOU EMIL." I swung again, this time hitting his face, as he fell back onto the pavement. He touched his lip, revealing blood.

He laughed. That same annoying laugh. I was clenching my fists so hard I think I was digging my nails into my skin. But I didn't care.

I heard a gasp behind me, but couldnt bring myself to turn around. For now, it was me and Emil.

He stood up. "So feisty, when did you get so angry~" I growled.

"Somewhere between you robbing me of everything and finding something new to fight for." My own words surprised me.

He wiped more blood off his lip and smiled. "I robbed nothing. I just took what was mine, and I'm going to do it again." He smirked then his face shifted. He lunged, tackling Me and punching me as hard as he could. I grunted at each hit,  but managing to block them with my forearms.

"YOU ALWAYS... HAD TO... WIN... DIDN'T YOU?" I hated him. I wanted him to die. I pushed him off and scrambled up, kicking him in the side, he made a oof sound.

I paused, looking down at him. His face was screwed up in pain, but he looked up at me.

"You think you're special, Peridot. You were always the smart one. And you couldn't just let me have something for once." He grunted, grinding his teeth.

"You're not special. You're a FREAK. YOU'RE A MONSTER!" he spat. I kicked him. I kicked him over and over, feeling tears flowing down as he grunted.

"YOU HAD SO MUCH ALREADY." I kicked him harder, trying to make him stop talking, but I ended up tripping backwards, panting as he sat up.

His green eyes burned with my same hatred. "You are nothing." He grunted again, standing, but wobbly

"You belong where you are. Because you HAD to do the right thing. You HAD to break OUR PROMISE." I could see his eyes welling up.

I breathed heavy, as i felt a raindrop fall on my shoulder. "FUCK you. Fuck you Emil. Go home.go on, run home and tell dad."

"I hate you..."

"...Brother."
