Chapter 8: Greedy Brat

"Wow," Petra commented. "Levi's never done that before. What'd you do that's got him crawling up your skin?"

"I don't know," I replied with annoyance, shoving a sliced potato in my mouth. "Guy's a bitch."

Hanji suddenly turned to me, her expression unreadable for a few moments before nudging me softly. "No he's nooot. Levi always has reasons for what he does. Maybe you've offended him?"

"I haven't even talked to the guy until now," I spat, finishing the last bits of my food. I finished the water and threw it in my tray. "As I said, the guy's a bitch."

"Well, Levi can be pretty mean..." Petra added, suddenly blushing.

"Yeah but he's not a FEMALE DOG!" Hanji exclamed.

"Wtf Hanji," everyone said. The rest of the pals on the table had been listening intently on our conversation, their eyes wide and their mouths moving as they continued chewing.

"Yeah no, I'm out. Bye." I quickly picked up my tray and placed it in the returned weird pipe thingy. I was going to get another bottle of water before a sharp pain hit my head and floor shook lightly.

I panted, my eyes blurring slightly. The ground was moving back and forth, in short gentle waves.

I had to figure out what was happening. I winced as another pain shot in my head.

Headaches?

Nauseous.

Dizzy.

Shit, no way.

Gripping the counter, I made my way to meet with one of the cooks standing behind the bar.

"E-excuse me," I rasped out, struggling to speak. "The meatballs... do they... have onion in them?"

The lady looked at me and my condition, and quickly went to the meatballs I asked about. She looked at it for a few seconds, before coming back with her answer. "It does. I'm sorry, but do you have something against onions?"

I nodded quickly. "I can't eat them, they make me dizzy and nauseous. "

The lady fumbled around her pockets and took out a bottle of pills. "One of the students here is my nephew, and he has the same problem as you. This pill helps him a lot," she explained, placing a pill in my hand.

I clenched my teeth and risked it. Usually these headaches won't leave me until about a week, and I ate 3 meatballs stuffed with them. Swallowing the pill, I grabbed a bottle of water and chugged it down my throat, nearly finishing it.

"The pill makes you sleepy as the side effect, so just rest and you should feel better in the morning."

I gave another nod. "Thank you," I murmured, before staggering back to my dorm.

So, here I am, trying to sleep. But I can't, since Petra is in a call with some man, and she refuses to wear earphones.

I've been flipping back and forth, hoping the medicine would take effect and make me sleep, instead of me reading something until I fall asleep for a few hours at 2 am.

"Petra please," I begged, starting to feel wide awake. If I didn't sleep now, the sleepiness effect would wear off before I even got a chance to close my eyes.

Petra looked from her call and stared at me.

This was my chance.

I made sure my hair was ruffled, and my face was shadowed, before I rose my upper half body up, and snarled intimidatingly, "If you don't use your damn earphones, I'll make sure you're living hell with me."

Petra looked like she was going to ignore me again, but then stopped as the caller suddenly said something.

"Just wear your fucking earphones Petra, you're wasting my time."

My eyes flickered. I recognized that voice.

Petra mumbled in annoyance and took her earphones, plugging it in. I sighed in relief and closed my eyes, the darkness finally taking over me. I wasn't fully asleep when I heard Petra answer,

"Whatever you say, Levi."

LEVI! I knew I recognized that voice!

My heart burned with rage as I stared in the darkness of my sleep. Why the heck was he even calling Petra for? Bitch left cafeteria acting all sassy.

And the way he looked at me.

It was like he was looking at a murderer or some shit.

I hated it.

Bitch has issues.
