Saving Who?

Chapter 26

"Are you serious? That's amazing Katerina." he pulled her in for a hug and they both stood in the elevator that way till they reached their floor.

"Umm.. so if you do hear screaming.. that's just me and the girls." she said awkwardly as they pulled apart.

"ALright, thanks for the heads up." the stood opposite each other both secretly longing for a more.. intimate relationship.

"Wait.. you didn't tell me why YOU were home early." she said stopping him as he entered their place.

"I just closed a pretty big deal with a well known company. I thought I'd come home then maybe go out again to check out some cars.." 

Without saying a word, she went to him and hugged him tightly. "I'm proud of you. Good job." she whispered, making him hug her tigther.

"Now, I can't believe you're going car shopping without me. I'm highly offended." she smacked his arm lightly.

"You want to come along with me?" he asked shocked.

"Well duh.. Unless you don't want me to then I won't." she said quickly hoping that she didn't come off sounding desperate.

"Of course I'd want you to come. But you're going over to see Bree and Claire right?" 

"Just give me half an hour with them, and I'll be ready in 15 minutes after that. Is that fine?" she tried to detect any signs of annoyance on his face.

"No problem. No need to rush." he watched her knock on the other girl's apartment and quickly shut the door before his ears popped. 

"God, you think they'd react to anything normally." Ryan groaned.

"It's programmed into their genes. Ry. So.. I closed the Ventura deal. We're set to open the new branch. I'm just waiting on my wingman to recover." he said looking at his best friend.

"No way!! That's awesome man. Don't worry.. I'll be by your side soon enough." Ryan tapped Talen's shoulder. "Oh, by the way... the even their holding for us... You bringing a plus one with you?"

As soon as he said that, Talen's mind immediately flashed Kat's face. "I'm. not too sure. You?"

"I thought of asking Bree. Hopefully she'll be free. He, you can bring your therapist. From what I heard from the girl's gossip session, she's a real hottie."

That snapped his attention "What exactly did you hear about her?" Talen asked casually.

"Bree was telling Claire how Kat thought she looked like she wanted to do everything but therapy with you." he laughed.

THAT was why she was upset the other day. Was it possible that Katerina was jealous...?

"No way, I'm not taking my therapist anywhere. I have no interest in her at all." he said.

"Fine.. then who?" just then the door swung open and Kat stepped in.

"Sorry I kept you waiting." she smiled.

Talen couldn't stop staring at her and that was when Ryan knew that something was up. Once she was in her room, he asked "You're into my sister aren't you? You want to take her for it. How the hell was  I so blind." he said in awe.

"I have to go get ready. We're going to go look at some show rooms." Talen avoided Ryan's questions.

"Not even with her and he's already whipped!" he teased. Talen flipped his finger at him.

Withing the next half hour, Kat and Talen were driving to the first show room he wanted to go to. 

"You're absolutely sure you want to get a bike?" she asked feeling nervous.
