You were also careful of its twin tails. In each tail above the bones, you knew were about a dozen large highly poisonous darts that work like its fire shots. Noone had ever been able to get the actual number, but it could wield them very well. Over about a day's time, more darts would grow when it uses them all. It always had one in each tail at the ready though cause it could also use it to cut its enemy instead of shooting at it.

It also had long razor-sharp blades running along its twin tails and on the top of its wings. The last one was on its head. Its club-like tails could also do damage and serve as a warning. The heart-shaped part could change color depending on its mood or to show various types of warnings to its attacker. Most often the colors would be the same, but they could display two different colors on their tails as well. They were also heavy and strong, so if you got hit with it, it'd mean one broken bone at least for a dragon, and probably broken spine or ribs for a Viking.

Lastly were its giant single claws on its round feet. They were used for gripping onto rocky surfaces and slicing open the enemy. You'd only seen one wound from claws like that, and you'd barely been able to save the victim of such a horrid attack. Not much else was known about the dragon or how it behaved so it was put in the Mystery Class.

You carefully approached it. This is such a bad idea...but...it's hurt. It was still growling and staring at you, but you made sure to keep enough distance so it wouldn't attack you. You knew how aggressive this dragon could be. And, on top of that, it was fast. Very fast when it decided to strike. It was one of the only dragons believed to actively hunt swifter and more dangerous prey in packs, but that was only speculative.

"I-I'm n-not here to hurt you. I-I just wanna get the rock off okay?" The growling got a little quieter and you carefully used the long whip your father had given you to pull it off its wing. As soon as your whip was away, it pinned you to the ground. You froze in shock and fear. It glared at you for a moment. It's icy blue eyes were boring into your very soul. Your heart was beating at a million miles per hour. However, it eased off, letting go of you and running away.

You were breathing hard and very shaky as you saw the tip of its tails disappear into the forest. Standing on weak legs, you headed back, still coming down from that heart-stopping experience. That was the weirdest and scariest thing I've ever done. I think there's something wrong with me. You told yourself before hurrying back to Gothi's.

When you got there and gave you an angry look and scribbled, "About time. I thought you'd been eaten since you were taking so long." You sighed, feeling bad for keeping her so long.

"Sorry, Gothi. I had trouble finding a few things." You lied while thinking to yourself. If only you knew. God, the village would absolutely freak out. Luckily, she took the bait.

"I see. Well next time if you can't find something, come back with what you got and try again the next day. Also, mark on your map where you find some of these. That'll help most likely."

"Okay. I will. I promise." She smiled and nodded approvingly. The rest of the day you couldn't stop thinking about that dragon. You wondered why it hadn't killed you. Why wouldn't it kill you? Easy meal, right? Since when did a dragon let a human go? Never, as you recalled. Maybe I should...look for it? No, no, that's stupid...but then again...

When it was time for you to go home, you said goodbye to Gothi as always and hurried home. Your legs moved faster than normal, but your head was elsewhere. You were so distracted by constantly thinking of the Armor Blade that you weren't paying attention to where you were going. Plus, it was dark so it was harder to see. You crashed into someone.

"Ah!" You yelped.

"Ack!" The other person exclaimed. You both toppled over in a tangled-up heap and you blushed, embarrassed. Great! Save a dragon, flatten a Viking. Who made it opposite day for me? Ugh! You pushed your thoughts aside as your attention went back to the person.

"Ah, jeez! I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" You scrambled off of them. You got up and saw that it was Hiccup. "Oh. Hi, Hiccup. You okay?" You asked, helping him up.

"U-uh, yeah I'm fine." He seemed a little shaken, but he was just kind of stunned that you were actually speaking to him. You didn't really notice that part, giving him an apologetic smile.

"Sorry about that."

"It's okay. I, uh, wasn't really looking either." Your little moment was quickly interrupted.

"(Y/n), there you are!" You turned to see your brother, Ash. He walked over once he got closer. Hiccup looked nervous as he came over.

"Ash! Why are you here?" You asked, once again not noticing Hiccup's stance. However, Ash wasn't hostile or snotty toward him at all. He didn't really even acknowledge Hiccup beyond a nod for a greeting.

"Looking for you. Come on, Mom's getting worried." He started to head off again. He turned back. "Let's go!"

"Coming!" You called and hurried over. You looked over your shoulder as you both left. "Bye, Hiccup! Nice talking to you!" You called, waving and smiling back at him.

"Uh, yeah. You too!" You smiled brighter, liking his dorky grin. I've never really met him, but he seems nice enough. He's better than Snotlout, that's for sure. And Arrow is...a bit much too. But he's sweet. He just has a hard time is all. I bet he's just trying too hard to impress his dad. He's got a lot of pressure. I understand what that's like.

"Why were you talking to him?" Ash asked, bringing you out of your thoughts.

"I wasn't looking where I was going and I crashed into him. I stopped to say sorry and make sure I didn't hurt him. I was a little distracted today." He seemed interested.

"Is he nice?"

"Yeah. He seems nice. I think he is." Ash grinned at you. It was clear he had a very smug idea in his head.

"Do you like him?" You were confused by the question. You'd never really met Hiccup, so this was new to you, but he was a better option than half the boys you did know. Still, that wasn't the point.

"What? Why do you ask that?" He shrugged, still grinning.

"Just curious." You sighed with an amused smile, knowing what he was thinking and slightly annoyed by his teasing implications. Still, you decided not to push him and just brush him off.

"Whatever you say, Ash."
