Chapter Twenty-Five: A Dangerous Ex

He seemed to had been startled by her presence. I noticed as she walked up to him saying something I couldn't make out. She swung her arms around his neck and gave him a tight hug. My heart sank and began to beat rapidly. I felt a nudge on my throat it was getting difficult to swallow. A pain in the pit of my stomach started to grow as I noticed how nervous that mysterious girl made James look. I couldn't hold it any longer I had to find out who she was, so I bravely decided to approach them.

Jazmin- Hi am I interrupting anything?

James- *Startled...Oh hey..

Jazmin- (Just a hey!?..I was definitely about to explode of fury)....Who is she?

James- Um Jazmin...This is Becky...

"Well it's actually Becca but James knows me as Becky" She replied as she sweetly smiled at James not taking her eyes away from him.

Jazmin- Nice to meet you Becky..I'm Jazmin James-

"Uh she's my neighbor" He suddenly blurted out. I felt like puking from the pain I felt inside my stomach. "Yeah what he said..I'm just his neighbor" I managed to say while holding back my tears. I turned away from both of them and walked away.

James- (Fuck!)...Jazmin wait!

Becca- *Holds his arm.....Jamsey..Where are you going?

James- Don't call me that and listen I don't know why you came looking for me after so long but whatever it is I don't want to hear it..

Becca- You were suppose to meet with my stupid cousin at the party last night where were you?

James- He's my client?

Becca- Yes..I just found out yesterday..That's why I came to personally look for you...*Holds his hand....And also because....I really have missed you Jamsey..

James- I told you not to call me that and that girl you just saw leave-

Becca- Oh you mean your neighbor?

James- She's also my girlfriend..(I took my hand away from hers and left after Jazmin)

I walked towards my house with my heart slowly sinking inside me. I felt like yelling and crying all at the same time. I didn't understand why he didn't want her to find out we were dating. I must've looked stupid in front of her. She definitely thinks I'm a joke and why not? I certainly made a fool out of myself. The only thing I was certain about was she made him nervous. To the point where he didn't properly introduce me as his official girlfriend. She must've been someone important to him for his actions to have played out the way they did. He never mentioned her to me and she looked older to go to our school. I wondered where they met and what part did she play in James life. I ignored him as he called out my name catching up to me.

"Jazmin can we please talk" he said while grabbing a hold of my arm. "No!..Let go of me!" I angrily shouted as I pushed him away from me.

James- Look I know I fucked up..But you caught me off guard...You both did..

Jazmin- Oh really?...Well I'm "Sorry" I ruined your little conversation with that girl!

James- Baby please stop..I don't wanna argue with you..

Rose- Jaz I'm going to the bakery shop...I can't take you..Would you mind catching a ride with James..

Jazmin- (What!?...She was fine with me going somewhere with James?...Something is seriously up with her)....Mom are you going to be back soon?
