Chapter One - { The Garrison }

"Hah maybe he does don't know why though" You said walking over to your closet and grabbing your uniform.

"You know he looks at you like his big sister (Y/N)"

"Yeah yeah I know but I wish he wouldn't I'm nothing special" You said closing the bathroom door. You heard Shiro sigh through the door.

"You are special (Y/N), to me and to him" He said slightly muffled by the door. You smiled to yourself after hearing that. You opened the door after you got your uniform on, Shiro must have heard it open as he turned around to see you. He smiled at you looking all nice and neat.

"Whatcha staring at Mr?" You asked him walking over and poking his face

"Just you, since you never really wear your uniform even when we're meant to!" He said placing a hand on your head and ruffling your hair up.

"Hey! I just brushed that!" You said laughing and slapping his hand away. He laughed with you and walked over to your bedroom door and it opened automatically.

"Let's go get breakfast, then shall we?" He said waiting for you

"Yes, we shall" You said and with that you left your bedroom and started walking down the hallway to the cafeteria.

"So, why'd you come to my room this morning? You rarely do that" You said while walking next to him. He just looked forward with a straight face.

"I'll tell you later when we're with Keith okay?" He said in a quite voice and walked a little faster. You frowned at his words. You tilted you head to the side slightly in confusion and clasped your hands behind your back.

"Are you sure? You could just tell me now" You said your voice laced with concern as you jogged to catch up with him. You unclasped your hands and reached out to touch his shoulder. He stopped walking when your hand rested there.

"I just...think it's best if both of you hear it together, it's nothing bad I just.... I just don't want to leave you guys alone...." He said looking down at his feet. He whispered the last part, so you didn't quite hear it.

"If that's what you want then I respect that, I'll just have to wait then won't I?" You said smiling at him kindly. He smiled sadly back at you and nodded his head. Suddenly he grabbed your hand and dragged you the rest of the way to the cafeteria. When you walked in you were overwhelmed with the sight of people and the smell of food. Smelled like eggs and bacon. Again. Not that you complained.

"Hey Shiro, is it eggs and bacon again?" You groaned

"Yeah...seems like it..." He groaned out almost not wanting to eat this morning. "But if we don't eat now we will be really hungry during training so let's grab a plate"

"Fine..." You groaned "Hey where's Keith anyway?" You said grabbing a plate and looking around for the violet eyed boy.

"Probably still sleeping." Shiro answered while filling his plate with the food. You shook your head.

"And you get on at me for sleeping in" You said loud enough for him to hear it, it wasn't a question but more of a statement. Shiro laughed and grabbed your plate from your hands and walked off to table. You followed behind him and when Shiro got to a table he sat down.

"Why don't you go wake him hmm?" He said looking at you smirking.

"Sure, I'll do that...by screaming in his ear" You said walking off in the direction of Keith's and Shiro's dorm room. You heard Shiro chuckle behind you and you turned around to stick your tongue out at him before heading out of the cafeteria. As you walked down the hallway you began to think about what Shiro was going to tell you. 'What could it be? I mean he said it wasn't bad, but he looked kind of sad to tell us' you thought.  You shook the thought out of your head and focused on your destination. When you arrived in front of Keith's door you knocked but there was no answer. So, you pressed the button on the outside of the door and the door opened with that swoosh sound. As you walked in, it was still dark in the room, so you decided to open his blinds. When you opened them, the sunlight seeped in through the window and lit up the whole room. Surprisingly Keith was still sleeping so you walked over to the side of his bed and grabbed the covers and yanked them off to which he fell out of bed, landing with a hard thud.
