If you're wondering who was that, I never knew actually. I never even knew his name. all I remember was that he was that boy who always sat alone. he had excelled at all the activities but nobody had ever heared him talk. Like ever.
Every one was calling him 'the silent boy' for that reason. But, to say he was gorgeous was an understatement. He had soft golden brown hair and his eyes were peircing. I never remembered what color they were exactly, probably blue, I never looked into them anyway.
Everything was fine until we were about to go. I was zoning out when I heared my nane being called. And guess who was my partner?
Yes, the silent boy.
I was pretty shocked actually and I remember how I felt self conscious, for I was a loser and he was good at everything. The challenge was to go into the woods next to the camp and take a picture of some rare bird. I was pretty sure that I was going to end up eaten by a bear or something.
Our trip went on silent. After all, he didn't even talk. It stayed like that until of course, I did something clumsy and idiotic.
I fell on my face and twisted my ankle.
Great, huh?
To my utter surprise, he picked me up, sat me on a huge tree trunk and advenced on doing something to my leg.
I watched him warily the whole time, he looked so beautiful. He never uttered a word. When he was done, I had a cast from the first aid box and he supported it with a branch. He looked up at me and did something very unexpected,
He talked. He asked if I was okay.
I was pretty shocked right then. I never knew he could talk. I remember how I recovered like five minutes later and muttered a "Yes".
And that day it happened. I still remember how at that very moment he leaned in closer and,
He took my first kiss.
To say I was shocked was an understatement. And what made it even worse that I liked it. I never realized that I had a crush on him before this. All I remember was stealing glances whenever he was around. I never even thought of him that way.
We never talked after that. Fortunately, he could take a snap of that bird and we were the winning pairing in the final challenge. I never saw him after that at any of the end of summer camp celebrations or even the Party.
I never even knew his name; Oliver threw my year book into the lake as a 'celebration' and all I had left to make me believe that this actually happened was the note that was at the back of my drawer.
It didn't even have a signature, his handwriting was unique, I could know it anywhere from the nights I had spent staring at it. I could still remember how every letter was scribbed neately, spelling the three words "You are beautiful".
I never saw that handriting again...
Until tonight.

"What the heck?"
"Just listen, I-"
"Don't you even know who it was?" My best friend yelled at me.
"No," I said sowly as I waited for a reaction.
I was back in the ball about 10 minutes ago. It took me like 5 minutes to find anyone I knew, and here I was. with my best friend whom I had told everything that had just happened.
"Samantha, are you even aware that you songged a stranger?! a STRANGER for god's sake!!" Oliver said, shock was pretty clear in his voice as he looked at me as if I had gone nuts.
