Chapter 15

You ripped the bloody blade from Petra's hand and you placed it in front of her throat. "So you did it?" You whispered... "I'll make you suffer..." You said, forcing the blade against her skin oh so gently, giggling as you did so. Petra let out a scream as the blade pierced her skin slowly. The eyes of Erwin and Levi widened and they ran towards you and Petra. Erwin tackled your small body to the ground. He forced your arms above your head and you struggled but you just weren't strong enough... You were strong, just not Erwin strong.

You tried to resist, screaming and screaming but there was no use. You stopped. Erwin let go of your hands, letting you wrap your arms around his neck, as you let out a blood-curdling sob. Erwin's eye widened and wrapped his arms around your waist, lifting you up in the process. "I'm going to take her to my office and fix her up. Take Petra to the dungeon and lock her in a cell until we can get the Military Police here." Erwin said, looking to Levi. Levi nodded and escorted Petra away, leaving Erwin and you alone. As he lifted you, you leaned your head into the crook of his neck, tears rolling down your cheeks.

Erwin cared for you deeply so seeing you in such a weird state was worrisome for him.  He may not have had what you and Levi had but he at least had you in some way.

He walked to HQ where he entered his office, setting you down on his desk. He took out his personal first aid kit and fixed you, as the wound wasn't too bad. You sat there, motionless as he lifted your shirt for you and wrapped the bandage around you. "Alright, I'm finished. Why don't you take a seat in that chair," he said, motioning towards the chair that was across from his desk. You made no movement. You didn't even say anything or look up. A sigh escaped Erwin's lips and he lifted you up himself, setting you on the chair, followed by him going and setting in his. He crossed his legs and arms, watching you intently. "I remember when you first arrived... And you hardly said a word." He paused, "but then you got more comfortable around us. More than I think you had wanted." He looked at you and there was no sign of movement anytime soon. "I guess you need to rest. Go to my room for now and rest. It's through that door," he pointed towards the back of his office, to a closed door that you had never seemed to notice. Though, you made no movement, only making Erwin sigh once more. He stood from his chair and effortlessly picked you up again, carrying you to his room. He softly placed you on his bed, pulling the covers up and over you. You shut your eyes and he bent down to kiss your head. As he tried to walk away, you reached for his hand, grabbing it. Erwin, surprised, stopped and looked down at both of your hands. He pulled up a chair and stayed beside the bed, holding your hand while you slept.

Soon after, Levi walked in and leaned against the door-frame. His eyes stayed on you and Erwin as he held your hand while you slept. Levi debated on whether or not he should say anything, but he did. "How is she?" His voice softer than usual, but it was you he was talking about and it was very clear now that Levi had feelings for you.

Startled, Erwin stood quickly and looked to Levi. "I'm sorry, I don't want you to think anything-"

"Erwin," Levi said calmly. "I know you care for her, but I also know it's not the way you think I think it is. Do I make sense?"

"Yes... I'm sorry, I just want her safe." Erwin stated, looking back to you as you slept.

"We all do. So how is she?" Levi asked, looking at you also.

Erwin sighed and walked to Levi. "She wouldn't move. I had to carry her and do everything for her... She wouldn't even speak, Levi. I know that's normal for her but damn it, this right now just isn't normal. She needs help."

"No, she just needs us. All we can do is comfort her and take care of her. She will get better. She's strong."

"You're right. What do we do now though?" Asked Erwin.

"Well, she's asleep. So I'm going to go check on Petra and make sure she hasn't done anything stupid while waiting for the Military Police... Tch, those scum. They better put her in her place. Petra used to be so sweet, I don't know what happened."

"(Y/n) is what happened. You know Petra liked you, it was obvious. Then this new girl, a better girl, comes along. It's clear." Erwin said.

"Right, well I'm going to go check on her. You stay with (Y/n). Just go lay with her or something until she wakes up. Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid either." Levi demanded.

"You sure you want me to do that?" The bushy-browed man asked.

"I trust you, Erwin, you're my closest friend..."

With that, Erwin nodded and Levi left. Erwin walked to the other side of the bed and climbed on, not getting under the covers though. He didn't want to push anything, but he turned to where he was facing you. He laid next to you as you rested and he too soon fell asleep...
