Chapter Nine - { Green and Yellow }

"I have no idea, I felt a sharp pain stab itself into my side and then everything went black...like before..." You said looking down at your hands. Your eyes widened as they stopped on orange markings curling around your fingers.

"They spread...?" You breathed out holding up your hand, rotating it. You followed the marks up your arm. You couldn't believe all this was happening to you. Before you were just a girl that went to the Garrison, who trained and worked her hardest at everything. And now you found out that your a Princess of a planet that was destroyed by a Galran empire. You were amazed as well as confused.

"This is so surreal" You whispered shaking your head.

"Are you okay now..?" Shiro asked gently. You smiled softly and nodded your head.

"Thank god...you had us all worried..." He breathed out, relief washing over his face.

"So my best friend is a Princess huh? Who would've guessed?" Keith said walking up to you, smiling brightly.

"But that doesn't even begin to explain what happened back there?!" Lance protested pointing behind him towards the staircase.

"Does that really matter?! She is not a threat to us!!" Keith barked back, shoving him and getting up into his face.

"How do you know that for sure huh?!" Lance growled through gritted teeth.

"Stow it cadets!" Shiro yelled getting in between them and pushing them apart.

"We do not need any of this right now!" he paused "And she is not a threat Lance." He said glaring at him furiously. Lance backed off mumbling profanities under his breath in Spanish. It made you upset to know that Lance thought you were a threat to them. You didn't even know what was going on, so you were a threat to yourself. You didn't want to think that you were a threat to the others but it still lingered in your mind.

You all had made your way to some sort of control room/bridge for the castle. Allura walked up and into the middle of the room and a huge crystal that hung above her began to glow a light blue. The exact same light blue you saw when you entered the castle.

"King Alfor connected the lion to Allura's life force, she alone is then key to the lions whereabouts" Coran spoke quietly. When she opened her eyes a huge holographic galaxy opened up around her.

"Woah...." You breathed out in amazement.

Shiro had walked up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. You were caught off guard and tried to get out of his grip.

"I don't care if the others see us anymore, I can't bare not being able to touch you the way I want" He whispered into your ear, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine. You blushed lightly as you relaxed into his embrace. It felt good to just be in his arms. You felt safe, like nothing could ever hurt you while he was with you.

"Are you not afraid of what I am? Or of what I may become?" You questioned tilting your head back to rest on his shoulder.

"Why would I be afraid?" He asked you leaning his head down to your neck placing gentle kisses along your newly found markings.

"B-because when I was unconscious...I heard my mother speaking to me...my actual mother...she told me I was in danger and that my unknown powers were rising to the surface.." You sighed "I think that's why I was so hot, she told me to calm myself to cool down.." He continued to place kisses along your neck and up to your ear. You sighed happily at the feeling of his cool lips on your hot skin.
