Chapter Nine - { Green and Yellow }

"I'm never going to be afraid of what you are. We may not know what's going on with you right now, but your not going to go through this alone. You have me and Keith to help you. I can tell you this now, we're not going anywhere" He said gently resting his forehead on your shoulder. You breathed out a sigh of relief and turned your head to face him. He lifted his head slightly. You gently kissed his jaw and he smiled softly. He turned his head and connected your lips together. It was a sweet and loving kiss. Your lips moulded together perfectly as you continued. Once he pulled away he smiled down at you. Someone cleared their throat in front of you causing you both to jump.

"Can I explain why we're here now?" Allura asked smiling gently at you two together. You smiled awkwardly.

"Yeah..sorry.." She nodded her head and continued on with her little speech.

"There are five lions. As you can see the black lion remains here in the castle" She spoke gently

"To keep the black lion out of Zarkon's hands, King Alfor locked it in the castle. It can only be freed if the other four lions are present" Coran chimed in.

"As you have found, the lions choose their pilots. It is a mystical bond and cannot be forced. The quintessence of the pilot is mirrored in his or her lion. Together, they form something greater than science can explain." She continued. She swiped her hand across the hologram and it moved. As she did the black lion glowed and floated over,  coming to a stop in front of Shiro.

"The Black Lion is the decisive head of Voltron. It will take a pilot who is a born leader and in control at all times, someone who's men will follow without hesitation. That is why, Shiro, you will pilot the Black Lion." You glanced up as Shiro's face and he was staring intently at the lions hologram. Allura swiped her hand again and the Green Lion moved to stop in front of Pidge.

"The Green Lion has an inquisitive personality and needs a pilot of intellect and daring. Pidge, you will pilot the Green Lion." Pidge smiled gently as he looked at the hologram.

"The Blue Lion-" Allura's words were cut off by Lance.

"Woah, hold up, let me guess. Takes the most handsome slash best pilot of the bunch?" He said smirking at Allura. Allura gave him a blank look before she continued on hesitantly, ignoring what he said.

"..The Yellow Lion is caring and kind" She smiled gently swiping her hand again, causing the yellow lions hologram to float over to Hunk.

"It's pilot is one who puts the needs of others above his own. His heart must be mighty. As the leg of Voltron, you will lift the team and hold them together." Hunk looked around and grunted questioningly pointing at himself. You chuckled lightly at his reaction and turned back to Allura as she went on to the The Red Lion. She opened her hands close to her chest revealing the Red Lions hologram. She pushed it toward Keith and it floated over gently stopping in front of him.

"The Red Lion is temperamental and the most difficult to master. It's faster and more agile than the others, but also more unstable. It's pilot needs to be someone who relies more on instincts than skill alone. Keith, you will fly the Red Lion" Keith watches as the lion stops in front of him. He then turns and smiles looking at you. His smile fades once he sees Shiro's arms around you.

"What? This guy?" Lance complains beside him. Keith glares over at him.

"Unfortunately, I cannot locate the Red Lion's coordinates yet. There must be something wrong with the castle. After 10,000 years, it might need some work." She laughed out. You were confused, she never mentioned the White Lion. You furrowed your eyebrows together, Mother had clearly said to find her, so why wasn't Allura addressing the White Lion. You managed to get out of Shiro's grip and get the attention of your newly found sister.
