22. Reunion

"Come on Kay, give them some privacy. But no funny business, Ashton, or else you know the consequences." Aubrey threatened me before leaving the room with Kayla.

I slowly pulled away, just enough to look at her face. She was as red as a tomato. How cute! "Are you okay?" was the first thing I could come up with, I needed to be sure that she was fine, she nodded her head slowly, "I'm fine. Are you?" that was it, that got me furious, she was asking me if I was okay? no I was not when she was gone! "Where were you? What were you even thinking running away like that? Do have any idea how worried I was? Teresa have no clue of all this, but just think, if she knew, how would she have felt that her daughter has left?" I burst out but she stayed silent, just stood there staring at the carpet. I put my hands on her cheeks making her look at me, she had tears in her eyes and my heart ached seeing her like this.

I wiped away the tears, "I'm sorry, Ash." She said and for the second time in ten minutes I hugged her again. "Yeah you should be. One: you didn't tell me about your sister, and two: you ran away leaving her in your place. You don't understand, Flower. There is no one..." I paused, pulling away and lifting her face, I met her eyes, "There's no one in this entire world who could replace you. Even Aubrey can't, you two may look exactly the same but you both have your own importance, you both just have the same faces other than that you are entirely different people. Please don't ever disappear like that again...." I told her, she smiled. Her hand came up to my face wiping the tear that escaped my eye. Was I crying? Shit! I can't cry in front of her. Hold on Ash, just hold it!

"I promise, Ash. I'll never disappear again." She said, kissing my cheek. I did not miss the color that appeared on her cheeks. I pulled her closer, just when my face was inches from hers...."That's it lover boy, you better step away from her now or else your face won't remain so pretty anymore!" Aubrey barged into the room with Kayla hot on her tail. Rose jumped away from me like a deer caught in headlights. Ugh timing! Aubrey stood in the room stomping her foot while Kayla was laughing her ass off and me? I was cursing under my breath.

"Rose, why don't you go freshen up and get ready for an explanation to mum...I mean Teresa." Aubrey suggested, Rose was still red from the earlier incident, but she nodded nevertheless. "I told you to keep the front door locked, Rey!" A new voice interjects which I recognized as Cameron's. He entered the room and stopped, observing the four of us, his face breaking out in a grin. "Oh well. Sweet reunion. Welcome back home, Rose." He said nodding towards her, she walked towards him, smiling and nodded, reaching out her hand. He took it. "Thanks, Cam. I mean it. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. Thank you so much for saving me earlier when I was in trouble, I was so scared, I wished I could die. But you stepped in to help me and even got hurt, I'm sorry about that." she paused, looking at the bandage on his arm. That was when I noticed he did looked like he has been in a fight. "The world is so small, you happen to be my sister's friend and knew about me, and helped me realize the importance of myself and my family. I'm very grateful to you for convincing me to come home. I always will be. I owe you big." She finished, that was the most she had spoken since she came here. I could not help but stare with my mouth hung open. What's with the nickname? I just felt a tug in my heart. Was this called jealousy?

He patted her head, ruffling her hair, in a playful manner. "Look at you, talking like a grown up. I feel so proud. You're like my second sister, Rose. Feel free to ask me when you need anything." He said to her, playfully pinching her cheek. Can he stop touching her. "You better treat me differently now, considering I'm the one to find your sister. Don't be so harsh on me." He pouted at Aubrey, and I swear I saw her blush.

"Well, Aubrey? Would you like some privacy with your boyfriend? Trust me I won't barge in when you two will be making out." I said with a mischievous smile. Kayla and Rose gave a short laugh laughed and her blush grew darker now noticed by everyone in the room. Take that, Aubrey. "I'm going to kill you Ashton! And he isn't my boyfriend." She said crossing her arms over her chest. She looked just like Rose when she was not threatening someone.
