"Jasper, humans don't live that long," Y/n reminded, 'I've been-"

"I know humans don't live that long!" Jasper shouted, "But you're something different..."

"No, I'm human, Jasper," Y/n told, "Remember the necklace I was wearing?"

"...Vaguely," Jasper said

"That necklace let's me travel back in time," Y/n said, "That's how you met me that long ago,"

"Where is the necklace now then?" Jasper asked

"I... I destroyed it," Y/n told, "It did more damage than good,"

"You destroyed the only link you had to Pink Diamond?!" Jasper grew furious

"Clearly it's not the only one!" Y/n shot back, "Jasper, I haven't met you in the past. I haven't done that yet. That means I somehow get another necklace... I just don't know how or when,"

"...It's now... You get it back now," Jasper said, "I'm going to go find it,"

"Jasper, you can't leave me alone," Y/n told

"You'll be fine," Jasper assured, "The bars are strong enough to keep anyone besides me out,"

"No, I need water, Jasper," Y/n said, "It's hot out here and I'm losing water from my body, I need fresh water to stay alive,"

"You're just saying that so if Lapis comes to rescue you, she'll have something to fight with," Jasper insisted

"No, I'm not. I need water," Y/n told as Jasper began to walk away, "Jasper!"

"I'll be back," Jasper told as she turned away, "Don't try anything stupid,"

"Jasper! Wait!" Y/n called out, but Jasper ignored the loud human and continued her journey forward, "Oh boy," Y/n sighed as they fell backwards and sat down, "This is bad... This is really bad... But I'll be okay... I'll be fine... I'm Y/n L/n and I'm fine. I'm Y/n L/n and I'm fine..." Y/n tried calming themself down as they repeated their mantra, taking deep breaths as they did, "Jeez, I've never been more thirsty in my life... Stop talking to yourself, Y/n. You're just gonna make yourself more thirsty..."

"Wait... I could use the... No, that's a last result," Y/n thought to themself, "Maybe she'll come back with some water,"

"Rise and shine, Y/n!" Steven cheered as he ran into Y/n's room with Amethyst trailing behind, "Huh? Y/n?..."

"Hmm? They're not here?" Amethyst frowned as she came up behind, "You think they went on ahead without his?"

"Maybe," Steven said, "But... They said they'd wait,"

"Call 'em," Amethyst insisted

"Right," Steven nodded as he pulled out his phone and dialed Y/n. After a few seconds of silence, a song began to play through the room

C'mon and light the fuse, he's a rocket and he's ready to go! 'Cause now the countdown has started and he's ready to blow!

"Uh, found it," Amethyst frowned as she picked up Y/n's phone from the ground, underneath the night table

"That's... Not good," Steven worried, "Their pajamas aren't even on floor... They haven't changed... That's not like them,"

"...Maybe... Maybe they went to Mask Island! Maybe they're still a bit upset..." Amethyst thought, "Let's go and get 'em,"

"Errr... I don't think that's the best idea..." Steven said, "When they're ready they'll come back. I- I think we should let them be alone for a bit... I mean, there's a reason they left their phone here,"
