Chapter 70: Unwanted Entropy

"Yeah, but... Doesn't this place seem like.... a bit more of a mess than it usually is?" Amethyst asked,
"I know messes and this isn't a Y/n kind of mess. Pillows and blankets on the floor... They'd pick those up! The stuff they leave on the ground is like, paper, and clothes, and wrappers. Pillows and blankets are sacred, man! They don't just leave it on the ground!"

"Maybe... they had a nightmare and just needed to go clear their head," Steven suggested

"Yeah, maybe..." Amethyst sighed, "I guess we'll head over to the Barn and tell Lapis and Peri Y/n's gonna be a bit late, eh?"

"I guess so," Steven nodded

"Let's go," Amethyst told as she walked down the stairs, Steven following behind her as they made their way to the barn, "You don't think that.... Nah, nevermind,"

"What is it?" Steven asked

"You don't think Jasper has anything to do with this, do you?" Amethyst suggested

"...I don't think so," Steven shook his head, "She wouldn't know where Y/n lives,"

"How'd she find them the first time... You know, when she first came to Earth?" Amethyst asked

"Y/n said she knocked them out when they were outside walking," Steven told

"Oh... I'm probably just over thinking this," Amethyst shook her head, "But the next time I see Jasper, I'm gonna beat her to a pulp! Just you watch!"

"Just be careful, alright?" Steven worried

"I don't have to be," Amethyst said, "I just got to beat her,"

"Here," Jasper grunted as she showed a large chrome colored cup

"Thank you," Y/n sighed in relief as they went to reach for the cup, but Jasper pulled it back sharply

"What are you going to do with this?" Jasper asked

"Drink it," Y/n said with an annoyed tone

"Finish it all in front of me," Jasper told as she snuck it between the bars and made sure Y/n held it firmly, "No stashing any of it away,"

"Okay..." Y/n sighed as they gripped the cup and brought it to their lips drinking slowly as they raised the container, emptying it and sighing in relief as they took it away from their mouth, "Thank you,"

"Open your mouth," Jasper demanded

"Ahh," Y/n rolled their eyes as they dropped their jaw and tilted their head back

"Good," Jasper said as she signaled for Y/n to close their mouth

"Where'd you get the cup?" Y/n asked

"You really don't know..." Jasper laughed a bit to herself

"I-I" Y/n croaked as they tried searching for the right words

"She was ready to give you the Earth and more... All you would've had to do is ask," Jasper told, "I can't believe I had forgotten about you... But it's all coming back now,"

"I... I don't know what you're talking about..." Y/n said

"Not yet," Jasper said, "Like you said... You'll find another necklace and you'll meet her again. And next time you'll stay with her... You'll stay because you know I'm right, you'll know I'm right about the Crystal Gems,"

"You're wrong, Jasper," Y/n said firmly, "You've already lost and you're just clinging onto a false sense of hope and righteousness. You're fighting on the wrong side, Jasper... What do you think Yellow Diamond is going to do if she can't retrieve you? I can tell you for certain she isn't going to mourn or grieve, she is just going to replace you. She doesn't care about you!"
