{Preference}; How They Confessed To You

You were an honors engineer back at the Garrison, so you knew almost as much as she did. One day, you two were in the lab assembling droid electro-breakers that had the potential to have the same emotional responses as Rover once did.

"Y/n, please pass me the red alligator clamp." She said, and held her hand out. You placed a yellow one in her hand, and she looked up at you curiously.

"The yellow one conducts 5,000 watts, I checked your math. Red has 55,000. I don't want you dying on me!" You joked, swinging yourself around awkwardly as she still stared up at you, dumbfounded.

"Umm, universe to Pidge, you in there?" You jokingly waved your hand in front of her face, and she dragged it down as she laughed. She smiled as she sighed, and you sat down next to her. Leaning slightly on you as she worked, she finally spoke a bit later;

"This is why I love you, y/n."

Hunk, unexpected by all, said it for everyone to hear.

You were in the heat of battle, and Galra had just shot the Yellow Lion with direct fire. His lion shut down, and floated on nothing. Sure, he was defenseless, but he was inside the strongest weapon the universe had to offer.

"Guys, I'm down, I'm down!" He panicked, and we all mentally sighed. Knowing from past experiences, all he had to do was reconnect his soul and being with the lion. Easy peasy.

"Hunk, buddy, you're all good. Just reconnect with your lion and get back to helping us!" Lance barked, resulting in Hunk becoming more stressed that he wouldn't be able to help his friends. You let out a deep breath and spoke;

"Hunk, you're not going to die. Just focus. What is your lion telling you to do? What is your heart saying?" You asked calmly, hoping your nature would rub off on his mood.

"My heart says... ummm..." he took deep breathes.

"Lance and Pidge, you two are my best friends. You both made my life worth while, and encouraged me not to quit." He stated.

"Hunk, what are you-"

"Keith, wherever you are, you're a good man. Shiro, even though you yelled at Lance the other day, you're a good leader and you've always been there for me." His squeaked on his last word. He was going to start crying.

"Hunk, I swear to-"

"Allura, you taught me how to work the food goo machines, and for that I am eternally grateful." Somehow, that sounded like the most sentimental confession of them all.

"I also gave you your lion and made you a palad-" she started, but Hunk cut her off with his final statement;

"And y/n, I've had feelings for you since you shared your last candy bar- your last memory from Earth- with me. You're really pretty and smart and I would have loved to be your boyfriend. 'I liked you', is what it might come to be though."

{And after that statement, his lion fired up.}
