Again

"It's Chuck, the doors are going to open soon." Chuck said and I immediately sprang up and ran out the door passed Chuck and ran to the door. The other boys soon joined me and we waited as the sun rose. The doors slowly opened and when they did I saw none of them, I looked up to see if Minho was going to do the same thing I did but he wasn't there and I felt an ache in my chest.

"Told you Chuck, they're not coming back. Sorry (Y/N)." Newt said sadly and I turned around and stood there facing away from the maze that took Minho.

"No way." I heard Zart say and I looked to the maze to see Minho and Thomas carrying Alby.

"Yeaha!" Chuck yelled as the boys who wandered off came back. They made it back and set Alby down and I instantly tackled Minho to the ground in a hug.

"Don't ever scare me like that again." I told him as I smiled and he smiled back at me.

"Well I didn't exactly plan for that to happen." Minho said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes as we got up.

"What happened out there?" Newt asked.

"You saw a Griever." Chuck said as we all looked at Alby to see he was stung.

"Yeah, I saw one." Thomas said.

"He didn't just see it, he killed it." Minho said and I gave Thomas a surprised look. I then turned to Newt with a look that said 'that's your man' and he blushed a little making me silently snicker. 'Shut up' he mouthed and we all went to have a gathering.

"Things are changing, there's no denying that. First Ben gets stung in broad daylight, and then Alby. and now our Greenie here, has taken it upon himself to go into the maze. Which is a clear violation of our rules here." Gally said.

"Yeah, but he save Alby's life." Fry said.

"Did he?" Gally asked and I rolled my eyes. "For three years we have co-existed with the things, and now, you've killed one of them." He said pointing at Thomas. "Who knows what that could mean for us." (A/N Co-existed? Bish wut u talkin bout.)

"Well what do you suggest we do?" Newt asked.

"He has to be punished." Gally said and there were protests.

"Minho? You were there with him, what do you think?" Newt asked Minho.

"I think in all the time we've been here, no one's ever killed a Griever before. When I turned tail and ran, this dumb shank, stood behind to help Alby. Look I don't know if he's brave or stupid, but whatever it is we need more of it. I say we make him a Runner." Minho said and some people protested while others agreed. I saw Newt smile at the idea and I smirked at him and he rolled his eyes. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Greenie watching Newt and I smiled to myself.

"If you want to throw the newbie a parade that's fine, go ahead. But if there is one thing that I know about the maze it is that you do not-." Gally got cut off by the Greenie alert. Gally and Newt ran out first with worried looks and then me and Minho with the others following. Newt and Gally opened the box and Newt jumped in.

"Newt, what do you see?" Fry asked.

"It's a girl." He said with a confused face and they all turned to me and I shrugged as I pushed through the others to get a good look. "I think she's dead." He said.

"What's in her hand?" I asked and Newt pulled out the paper and unfolded it.

"She's the last one ever. What the hell does that mean?" He said and she suddenly gasped and opened her eyes making all of us back up a little.

"Thomas!" She said as she looked at him and then passed out again. I swear if she ruins what Newt and Thomas almost have imma throw some hands. We all turned to him and he looked just as confused as us.

"Still think i'm overreacting." Gally said. The girl was taken to the med-jacks and me, Minho, Newt and Thomas went to see her.

"Jeff, what's going on, what's the matter with her, why won't she wake up?" Newt asked.

"Hey man, I got my job the same way you did." Jeff said.

"Well do you recognise her?" Newt asked Thomas and I could sense the jealousy in his voice and I raised an eyebrow at him but he just shrugged it off.

"No." Greenie said.

"Really because she seemed to recognise you." Newt said.

"What about the note?" Thomas asked.

"Well we'll worry about the note later." Newt said.

"I think you should worry about it now." Thomas said.

"We've got enough to deal with as it is." Newt said.

"He's right Newt, if the box isn't coming back up, ho long do you think we can last." Jeff asked.

"No one said that." Newt said. "Let's not jump to any conclusions. We'll just wait until she wakes up and see what she knows. Somebody's gotta have some answers around here."

"Ok." Greenie said as he walked out.

"Well where are you going?" I asked.

"Into the maze." Thomas said and me and Minho went after him.

"Hey, hey Thomas, hey, hey. What is this with you huh, a death wish? Just got out now you want back in." Minho said.

"Newt said that no one's ever see a Griever before and lived to tell about it, besides (Y/N). Minho now we have one, your telling me that your not even a little bit curious." Greenie said as I glanced at the maze doors then at Minho.

"Not really no." Minho said as Thomas went forward and I stopped him.

"So what's the plan?" I asked.

"Go out and dissect that thing all by yourself." Minho said.

"I will if I have to. Have the other Runners left yet?"

"The other Runners quit this morning." I said pointing at said shanks.

"After Alby got stung their not in any hurry to get back out there. Why are you?" Minho said.

"I-I think it's time we find out what we're really up against."

"Alright, but your not going back out there alone. Meet me in the woods in half an hour." Minho said and Thomas nodded as me and Minho walked off.
