The sounds of crickets were the only thing I could hear, along with a slight breeze. I leaned against the railing of the patio, looking out to the pond in the far distance. The moon was full tonight, creating a mirror effect on the water.
"Hey, what are you doing out here by yourself." A voice said, making me jump. I turn around to find a very attractive guy, looking to be around my age or a little older.
It was clear he worked out because his muscles were very visible without him flexing. He was wearing a muscle shirt and holding a red cup. He had a smirk on his face and his blonde hair was cut neatly to swoop back.
I can tell he spends a lot of time of his hair.
"You scared me." I let out a breath, letting my heart return to it's normal speed.
He chuckled. "Sorry, I couldn't help but notice you're all alone. Mind if I join you?" I hesitantly nod, letting him take a couple steps until he was standing next to me.
"Why are you out here by yourself?" He asked and I looked back towards the pond.
I could feel his stare on me, and it was kind of giving me the creeps.
"Uh, my friend is inside. I just needed some air." I tell him, refusing to look at him.
"Well, I guess that kind of worked out in my favor." He said, placing his hand on my lower back.
He let his hand slide down a little more until it was resting on my ass.
"Whoa." I take a step back, letting his hand drop down to his side.
"Come on, let's have some fun." He smirked again, closing the gap I created between us.
I took another step back, but my back hit the railing.
"No, I don't want to." I tell him sternly,
"Please-" He placed his hand on my hip and I did the only thing I could think of.
I kneed him in the balls.
He let out a loud but low groan, taking a step back to clutch them To my dismay, he stood up straight within a matter of seconds.
"You bitch!" He yelled, sending shivers down my spine.
It all happened so fast. His hand raised up and landed on my cheek, causing a burning sensation.
He suddenly grabbed my shoulders roughly and stared me in the eyes.
"Now you're going to do what I say or I'll kill you." He told me and I literally felt my heart drop to my stomach.
"What the- GET THE HELL OFF HER!" I heard a voice scream, a voice I never thought I would be happy to hear.
The guy turned around only to get a hard punch in the jaw, his body swinging around from the impact before falling on the floor.
Finn looked down at the guy's face, his eyes flashing with both recognition, and pure anger.
"How many time do I have to punch you for you to get the message to stay the hell away from the people in my life?" Finn said, his voice steady.
The guy stood up, holding his jaw that was now bleeding.
"You fucking ass." The guy mumbled before swinging his fist to hit Finn, but he ducked down just in time. He punched him in the gut and the guy groaned, clutching his stomach.
"Let's go." Finn whispered to me before grabbing my arm and running toward the side of the house.
We ran around the side until we reached his car, jumping in as fast as we can. As he was turning on the car, I saw the guy running towards us.
"Go go GO!" I instructed him and Finn sped off down the road, creating a distance between us and the guy.
There was a couple minutes of silence between us as he drove, the only sound is our heavy breathing.
"Are you okay?" He finally asked, glancing over at me.
"I'm fine, I just want to go home."
He nodded silently, and I laid my head against the cold window, my cheek still burning.
