Zeitgeist X Reader | Deadpool 2

Chapter 3 | Time for a battle

"Watch out!"
You yell. Waving your arms at the workers near the machine.
"Shut it down!"

The men turn their heads to see what you're yelling about but they're too slow. With absolute terror in his eyes Zeitgeist manages to make a quick turn and land right next to the deadly machine. You jog up to him and hold out a hand to help him up.

"You alright? That was damn close."
You ask him with a concerned expression.

He takes a moment to calm himself and with your help stands up.
"Yeah I'm fine."
He mutters out, still a bit shocked.

Wade then yells from across the street.
"Move it! And Peter you come with me!"

The two of you nod at him and you start looking around the street to find any type of vechacle that could be useful.

Before you can make any further decisions you hear Zeitgeists voice.
"Over here!"
He motions towards a car that he has already broken into and start to toy around with the cords to get the thing working.

You hop over to the passenger seat and soon he gets the car running. The two of you speed off after the truck. From the car window you can see Wade and Peter on a small red scooter in the distance, they nearly fit on it together but you must admit it looks absolutely adorable with Peter clinging onto Wade with dear life not to fall off.

"Their getting away."
Zeitgeist says, speeding between and past the cars on the streets.

"Go that way!"
You point at a turn that goes up to a bridge.

He quickly changes durcetion to the said road and the two of you manage to get above the truck.

"Now what? This bridge is gonna end soon."
He asks looking around for a way to stop the speeding vehicle.

You also try to figure out a possible solution when you suddenly see Domino land directly into the truck. She takes down the driver and sits on his place. You and Zeitgeist cheer, things are going well. He drives down the bridge and keep close to the truck. Its almost as things are going way too well for all of you. And just as you thought of it Cable shows up.

"Damn it." Zeitgeist mumbles as he keeps driving next to the truck. "Someone has to get on the truck to help Domino."

You immediately know it's your turn to shine. "I'll go, I'll teleport on the truck."

"Are you sure? I could make a jump for it and you take the wheel." He suggests.

You shake your head. "Its safer if I go, if anything bad happens I can just teleport both myself and Domino away."

"Alright, don't die." He says with a chuckle and smirks.

For some reason it made your heart flutter. He sure is attractive but this is no place to think about things like that. You shake your head clear and teleport into the truck right next to Domino.

"Jesus Y/N you scared me."
Domino jumps a bit as you suddenly appear next to her.

"How are things?"
You ask.

"Not so good, you take the week I'll go deal with Cable and get the kid." She says and quickly stand so from behidnt he wheel.

You nod and take over the drivers position while Domino makes her way down to the other side of the truck. You can hear Cables footsteps on the roof of the vehicle before he jumps in, attacking Domino. They wrestle around for a bit. Domino being the lucky one she fights him off pretty well but the man is strong. You take a deep breath and make sure the truck is driving straight before you teleport behind Cable. Placing a hand on his shoulder you use your powers to make him see nothing but darkness. It distracts him for a second before he turns around and swings his fist at you but is blocked by Domino.

"Guys who's driving the truck?"
You can hear Wades voice pop up.

He runs directly at cable and starts throwing punches. You figure he'll do fine together with Domino and teleport back to the drivers seat. The truck was about to drive off the road so you made it just in time. Zeitgeist is still driving next to the truck and a bit further away you can see Peter on the scooter. The rest don't seem to be around. The fightin gets more extreme when Cable start shooting. You try it stop the truck but the brakes turn out to be broken from when Cable was shooting at it earlier.

"The brakes are broken!"
You yell out, while keeping the truck straight.

You don't get anything for an answer but only sounds of your fiends groaning in pain. You decide to leave the wheel again and teleport back. Domino holding her bleeding nose while Wade is doing his best to avoid the bullets Cable is firing at him

"I heard about the brakes."
She says while wiping the blood off.

"Yeah, any sign of the kid?"
You ask.

She shakes her head.
"No, we should probably go find him while Wade is keeping Cable busy."

The two of you are about to search the truck when everything shatters. The entire truck falls through a bridge it was crossing due to something smashing it again a the ground. Everything moves so fast and you can bearly tell in what direction you are falling. Using your instinct you teleport away a few meter. Looking at the entire situation from the side your eyes widen. A man ridiculous tall with a weird helmet on his head steps out from the broken pile of metal left from the truck. A mall kid is walking behind his aide and you assume that is Russell. The man looks absolutely frightening and you decide to keep a distance. You watch deadpool confront him but the man simply just picks him up and rips him in half. Feeling sick from the sight you hold back the need to puke. Suddenly you feel a tap on you shoulder and quickly turn around, pulling out your pistol and pointing it at whoever was behind you. It turns out to be Zeitgeist, he quickly puts his hand on you mouth and holds his finder in front of his.

"Shhh, come this way."
He whispers and motions towards the car he had been driving earlier that's parked a bit further away from the whole disaster. You follow his quietly to the car. And he turn back to face you.
"The rest are already safe, Shatterstar got a helicopter that he apperent almost flew into and took the other with him. They followed us but once the big guy got out they stayed hidden."
He explains as you both get in the car.

"So where to now?"
You ask.

"I guess we just stay low until Wade tells us what to do next."
He says with a sigh.
"But I'm the meantime, I could really use a shawarma." He adds with a chuckle.

You hear your stomach grumble and nod in agreement.
"That's sounds perfect."

"To Shalom Grill then!"
(The same place where the Avengers ate their shawarma ;) )
