Later that night Callie sat in her room with Archie as their mom had something that she wanted to talk to them about.

" I need to ask a favor, Archie, and Callie. Your father is announcing his run for Mayor on Friday. And his campaign, as you know, is based on promoting a wholesome view of Riverdale, and the place where he'd raised his family," their mom explained. " Having us all there, standing with him, it's an important moment."

" then why isn't dad asking me himself?" Archie asked.

" He's a proud guy, your dad," their mom answered. " But I know it would mean the world to him, and me, if you both show up for this."

" Mom, of course, we'll be there for Dad," Callie informed.

Callie now sat in a Swords and Serpents meeting.

" You promised us a war," Sweet Pea stated angrily. " Then you're on stage looking like Buddy Holly, sucking up to the Northside?"

" We need those votes Sweet Pea. It's the only way that we can affect any change," Jughead explained. Sweet Pea looked at everyone else. " Whoever's elected gets a seat on the School Board. That means we're on the inside, that means that they can't silence us."

" You and the Northside princess, you mean?" Fangs asked. They all turned and looked at Betty, who sat in the meeting for the first time.

" Wait, is that why you guys are pissed?" Jughead asked. " Betty's on our side!"

" Yeah," Betty agreed. " I've helped the Serpents on numerous occasions. I helped find the Pickens statue's head, I got Cheryl to testify in court so FP, your king, could get early parole."

" You did all that for your boyfriend, not the Serpents," Sweet Pea pointed out.

" All right, take it down, Sweet Pea--" Jughead advised.

" What, it's only a matter of time before she bails on us, just like her mother," Sweet Pea stated.

" Okay, so your objections aren't even about me, they're about my mom--" Betty argued.

" Her legacy, yeah. She's an enemy of the Serpent State," Sweet Pea cut her off.

" She's been taking shots at them in the Register for years, blaming them for crimes they didn't commit," Callie added.

" What have you done to help the Serpents besides help find Picken's statues head?" Betty asked.

" More than you," Sweet Pea answered. He then looked at Jughead.  " Running with a turncoat's daughter is a slap in the face. And for that reason alone, you're not getting the Serpent vote." Callie then stood up and grabbed her stuff.

" Meeting isn't over shortstop," Sweet Pea told her.

" I got Vixens practice Treetopper," Callie pointed out. After practice, it was just her, Veronica, Josie, and Toni.

" What do you mean, Cheryl's missing?" Callie asked.

" Do you remember how paranoid Cheryl was at her slumber party?" Toni questioned. " Saying that her mom and uncle were out to get her?"

" Mmm-hmm," Veronica answered.

" Well, I think they did something to her!" Toni implied.

" What kind of something?" Josie asked.

" Her mom said they sent her off to some all-girls boarding school in Switzerland," Toni answered.

" Well, that's easy enough to check, there's only one, Surval Montreux," Veronica informed.
