I looked at Hikaru with a pout. 'I wanna stay with the otters'
"We can come back to the otters later," Kaoru bargained.
I shook my head no.
"Hikaru, Kaoru, I thought he would've dragged you here," Haruhi walked up with an eager Tamaki behind her.
"He doesn't want to leave," they sighed.
'We just got here'
"Go see the other animals before you settle down here," Haruhi rolled her eyes.
I pouted and crossed my arms over my chest. Kaoru took it soon himself to grabbed the handles on my chair and start to pull me away. I whined more but didn't fight. We went to the lions. Then the tigers. Then the penguins. Then the birds. Then the butterfly room. Then the gorillas. Then the seals. We went in a pretty random order.
Right now we stopped for lunch. Which I managed to convince them to go to the bench across from the otter exhibit to eat. And that's where we are.
"James, eat," Hikaru muttered, mouth full of hot dog.
I tore my eyes away from the otters and ate a bite of my corn dog. Kaoru giggled lightly which made me look at him.
He shook his head with a smile. "You really like otters, don't you?"
I nodded.
"Then we should buy him one," Hikaru decided.
My eyes went wide. 'REALLY??'
"Is that even allowed?" Kaoru asked.
Hikaru tilted his head, thinking. "I dunno, but we're rich, we can do what we want,"
'That's not how it works..'
"Huh? Really?" He questioned.
I sighed and pouted. 'I wouldn't know where to keep it anyway, and who would take care of it when I die?'
The mood went from carefree to gloomy. I quickly erased what I wrote, knowing that I probably shouldn't have said that.
Hikaru cleared his throat. "Remember... you promised,"
I clenched my jaw. 'I did...'
Kaoru sighed softly and then suddenly crawled onto my lap. "You have to eat," he grabbed my corn dog from my hand and held it to my mouth.
I was glad for the change of subject and ate quietly. We all just stayed silent for the next twenty minutes after I finished eating, until I noticed that Kaoru fell asleep.
I looked at Hikaru who was staring at the two of us, deep in thought.
'What're you thinkin about?'
He sighed. "Kaoru and I share everything, is it bad that I... I don't want to share you?"
My eyes widened slightly. "U-uh..."
"I want you to be mine, only mine,"
It took me a moment to process what he said before I started to write. 'Im not yours nor am i his, you both are mine'
He went bright red.
'I just have to give twice as much, then you don't have to feel like you're sharing'
He stared at me for a moment and bit his lip. "Can I... Can I kiss you?"
Now it was my turn to blush. Kiss Hikaru? I nodded slowly. He leaned toward me and I could feel my blush growing as his lips brushed hesitantly over mine. I tilted my head toward him, capturing his lips in a gentle and innocent kiss. It lasted only a second or two but it was.... magical, that's the only word I can think of. His lips were soft and left sparks of love in my heart. I had never felt more alive.
Hikaru pulled away quickly and cleared his throat shyly, a blush creeping up his neck.
I giggled lightly and grinned.
"I see you two've gotten closer,"
I jumped slightly and looked at Kyoya who had a smirk playing on his lips.
'Not another word, shadow king'
"Three words, James," his smirked widened.
'Stop! I'm sorry! What do you need, my wonderful and generous master??'
He snickered. "Nothing, just wondering where everyone disappeared to,"
'Tamaki and Haruhi, last I saw were heading to the butterfly room, I think I saw Honey inside the bear habitat but I'm trying not to think about that, and Mori... has a piece of cake and was waving it around, I think he was trying to find Honey...' I was starting to run out of space on my whiteboard so I stopped rambling.
"Butterfly room," he muttered and walked off.
"What did he mean by three words?"
I jumped slightly and looked at Kaoru. 'You're awake'
He nodded. "Kyoya was a bit loud when he came up,"
"What did he mean by three words?" Hikaru asked.
I smiled lightly. 'It's super embarrassing, please don't make me bring it up' I lied swiftly.
"And why does Kyoya know about this?" Hikaru questioned.
'He's the shadow king! How do you think??'
They both laughed and nodded. "True,"
I don't want them to know what those three words are. I don't want our days together to be plagued by the meaning of those words, I just want to be with them like we are now, having fun and simply being happy together.
Heyyyy so, I meant to finish this chapter like last week. And it's summer break so I really have no excuse except that I'm lazy. Super uber sorry! Also next chapter might be the last one so be prepared. I just... Ive been planning this ending for so long. It has to be freaking perfect for you guys. I just want this to be one of those stories that you finish reading it and you're like satisfied with the ending.
Anyway! Question of the chapter!
What's your favorite word? (Weird question I know)Mine is hippopotamus, it's just rlly fun to say, it sounds silly, and when you say it with an accent it's even better.
Oh also when I'm done with this story I will be focusing on Call me Cotton more, so yay!
