Dinosaurs are like... Chickens?

So, I think Silvers and reds wouldn't know of dinosaurs because they are much to busy with other things and I don't see them looking that far into it but who knows, so anyways Maven doesn't know what a dinosaur is, and It's in his POV so enjoy!

Stella flashed her badge at the man in the station. After a 15 minute ride in what Stella had called an "ooVoo driver" and then laughed I was more than glad to be walking. I showed the man my badge as well.

The "children's" museum, out of anywhere in her world, she chose to take me to a place for a child. I was really beginning to rethink my choice in coming here.

"This is the water clock," Stella smiled wide, I looked at the clock it was a mess of glass tubes and bulbs. It looked like something out of a lab, a child would be very curious about it's mechanics however I am not a child, and I couldn't care less.

She dragged us from area to area, pointing to what I believed were her favorite things, we stood outside the movie room in the space area.

"I'm sorry, I should have let you finish watching." She tossed me an apologetic look, her eyes watered, popping the green of them more. She was going to cry.

"I'm the one that left," I murmured, children ran past the doors of the room. I glared at them, I didn't particularly like kids.

"I should have been able to handle it though," Stella sucked in a breath, she watched more kids run and smile, she smiled with them, "I work here after all, it just got too loud, I panicked."

One kid stopped to stare at me and her, it was a little girl with curly black ringlets for hair and dark warm skin. Stella turned to her, waggling her fingers the girl giggled and chased after her father.

"It's fine," I looked away from Stella, in a span of a few short hours I had found myself so attached I couldn't even watch her cry, weak. "I have little interest in the progress your kind have made on the topic of space exploration." It was the weakest reason I could give, essentially saying, 'it doesn't matter because you are a red blood,' dumb. The way I said it made her giggle though, she liked it when I make my words over dramatic and I like to watch her giggle.

"Hand me the map," I commanded of her, she did as told. I look through, we were currently on the basement level and had gone through all of interest except the dinosaur exhibit. Whatever that was.

When I had told Stella of my lacking knowledge in dinosaurs she immediately circled it, did a couple tears fall from her face? Yes. Was I going to mention it? No.

"Last is dee-no-sours," Stella laughed I glared at her, she did a charming smiled and pushed a long lock of green from her face. A man in an orange suit walked in, it was the same suit the young woman who introduced the show we attempted to watch wore.

"Die-no-soars" Stella corrected, letting her hand brush my arm. The man stood in shock at us. I tossed him a deadly glance and pulled away from Stella, it hurt me to do so.

"Manjyot!" Stella jumped around sure to get his attention.

"Stella, what are you doing here?" The man flicked his eyes from her to me.

"I'm showing Maven the place I work." She giggled and pressed her infex finger to the tip of his nose, "What are youuuu doing?"

Manjyot waved his hand to the door next to us, "I'm letting everyone out and doing the next show." His eyes flicked towards Stella, glancing at her chest, my blood boiled.

"Um... Stella," Manjyot stared into her eyes, "I thought you were gay?" That was not what I had expected.

"Nope!" Her finger twisted a metal locket and she lifted it from her breast, Manjyot stared at it. "I assume you thought that because Riley?" He nodded, she sighed, "I'm Pan, inclusive to all types of people."

She continued to rapidly twist to chain as Manjyot fell silent and I had nothing to add. It was an aggravating silence and I did not care for it.

"Stella," I whispered into her ear, "Die-no-soars" I made sure to properly pronounce each syllable. She nodded frantically.

"We must visit the last stop, I shall see you again on Saturday of next week, my friend" Manjyot waved and we marched out.

"This is a T-Rex," I look at the giant mass of bones. It didn't look all that impressive, though it was dead. Nothing really looks all that impressive when it's dead.

"This one is most likely a female!" Stella hops onto the railing, leaning precariously in the exhibit. "You can see here," She pointed to a gap in the bones near the tail, "It is most likely an exit for the egg. Like a chicken!"

A man in a green vest hovered around trying to quietly coax Stella down, it wasn't working. "Exciting," I drone, it was actually exciting, she knew a lot about dinosaurs.

I press behind her, grabbing at her legs, which was the best area I could grab without most likely being hit. I pull her and she tumbles off the railing. She flipped her legs out of my grasp, doing a back flip narrowly dodging a child as she lands.

"See, most people think dinosaurs would be reptilian however they are more like birds," She comes back to my side, green vest guy is staring, confused, "Such as chickens!" Guess Stella likes chickens.

"Are they covered in feathers?" Stella seemed startled by my comment, I wonder if she even noticed I was still here.

"Possibly, though no one knows for sure..." She tugs at the ends of her lime colored hair, she tugged hard, pulling on her scalp, "Or, maybe they do. I don't know much about dinosaurs, just what Rye told me."

"But they probably did have feathers right?" I chose to ignore the Riley comment, "What would they look like."

"Now this, I know." She flashed me a smile, "The females would be neutral colours such as grey and browns, the males would be bright coloured. Colours like Blue or reds, I assume they would stick to one color though I don't really know." She had a bright smile.

"Like birds," She added, "Not chickens though."

When we had arrived back at her home the yellow portal was still there. It was like a dark reminder that I would have to return. Stella actively ignored it though.

"Have you eaten yet?" She pulled down ingredients and utensils.

"No?" I fiddled with my flamemaker bracelet.

"Do you like spaghetti?" She pulled down a package of premade spaghetti. I nodded.

She worked in silence. It was calming. The quiet. The only sounds were of the water boiling or Stella cutting vegetables. Even mother had quieted.

It was a nice evening to say the least. It was much calmer than the duties I usually did.

Oh frickkkkkkk this took forever because as usual I got really depressed and spent legit a week hanging my head off my bed listening to Africa by Toto. Help me. I need a therapist but I'm a minor and my family reject my mental illnesses. Anyways.... Here is something to do with Maven and Stella. I can't get on a computer and I didn't want to keep y'all waiting anymore cause I started another wip. Save my soul.
