Figuring it out

Athena stops for a moment at this before going down to Charlie's room. She peeks into the doorway and sees him getting up from bed ready to see what has happened to make Bella yell. "Pappy?"

Charlie looks to the doorway and sees her with tears running down her puffy cheeks and clutching her stuffed toy really hard. "What's wrong baby."

Athena runs as fast as her small legs can at Charlie who catches her and brings her into a hug, trying to calm down her tears. "It's Okay, It's Okay. I'm here." He sits back onto his bed and settle's her onto his lap. He wipes her tears away with his thumb. "Tell me what happen baby."

She sniffles and talks wobbly. "Mummy... be... mean. She... hates me..." Fresh tears travel in the same pattern down her cheeks. Charlie shakes his head in disappointment, now knowing why Bella was yelling.

"It's Okay, you did nothing wrong." He pulls back and gives her a small smile. "Why don't you stay with me tonight, hmm?"

She nods a little and they settle down into bed, Charlie holding her close to his chest and Athena finally settles down to sleep. Jacob, still standing under Bella's now pitch black window, hears everything and shifts in anger at what Bella says for making Athena cry. He runs into the forest and howls in anger.

Hearing the howl as she is about to get into bed, she stops with a contemplating look on her face when suddenly a thought hits her that makes her smile. 'Wolves! There descendants from Shapeshifters.'

She hops into bed with a smile, once she him that she knows, he would have to pay attention to her, not Athena. She drifts off to sleep, not knowing that being angry at Athena had change everything.

Morning

Bella walks into the kitchen with a smile that is immediately wiped off when she sees Athena in the kitchen, eating pancakes and Charlie sitting across from her drinking coffee. She ignores them and walks into the kitchen, Athena flinches when she sees her and looks down while Charlie looks up. "Bella."

She continues to ignore them and she grabs a breakfast bar from the cupboard. "Bella!"

She spins around and yells. "What!" Athena starts crying again.

"We need to talk about your behaviour and lately it is disgusting."

She scoffs. "Like I care."

He glares and bangs his mug onto the table, Athena watches with a scared look towards Bella. "You should, I don't know what's happening to you lately but you are acting like a toddler who is having a temper tantrum. You have yelled at Athena last night for no apparent reason-"

She cuts him off, "She was disturbing me!"

"She is just a baby Bella! A three-year-old Baby! She doesn't know any better."

Bella calms herself down and puts on a sad face. "I didn't mean too, I'm just upset that Jacob doesn't talk to me anymore. I won't yell at Athena again, I promise."

Charlie looks at her with a glare before letting out a tired sigh. "Look." He looks to her with seriousness. "I let you go with this one last time but if you're behaviour continues on like this and you take it out on Athena then there will be consequences. You hear me."

Bella stares wide eye before nodding. Charlie nods. "Good, now what you are going to do is go over to Jake's with Athena and patch whatever this is up."

Bella looks at him with disbelief. "But-" His sharp glare cuts her off. She sighs in defeat. "Fine."

He nods, turns to Athena and kisses the crown of her head. "Love ya Pop Tart."

She waves shyly. "Bye Pappy." Charlie waves back and leaves with Bella watching him go. She turns and glares at Athena before going upstairs to get her stuff to leave, leaving Athena in her seat.
