An hour before (7.00 am)

"Hello Ashu"

"Hiii jijuu.. Happy birthday my dear *kisses on the screen*"

"Thank you so much.. And today I want your little bit help so meet me at 8.30 am in the central park okk"

"Why ? What happened ?"

"Just meet me, will brief you over there"

"Okk my jaan jijuuu..  Bbyee.. See you soon.. "

And the call disconnected.

At 8.40 am

I was waiting for ashu when she finally came running. She apologized for being late and cursed the traffic while gasping for breath. I patted the bench indicating her to settle down.

"Hii jijuu.. So... Why.. Have.. You.. Called me.. Heree... " (She was panting and gasping)

"Ashu.. Can you tell me what is the story of Anii's aunt ?"

"Whattt !? " she stared at me for a moment " why do you want to know this all of a sudden?"

"Anii once told me when we were talking that her own parents were unhappy with her birth as a girl so they gave her to her father's younger brother who adopted her and her real parents had shifted to USA (this was told to her by her aunt when she turned sixteen). Then her uncle too left them when she was eleven, and her aunt has raised her alone like a singlemother. But somewhere her aunt still loves her uncle as they had a love marriage. She misses him alot and Anii feels bad to see her suffering like this. Though her aunt is a strong woman but still there are some empty spaces in her heart. And so on my birthday I want to make the two if them to meet. And you have to help me out."

Ashu was listening very attentively to my words while nodding at intervals.

"Tell me how can I help you ?" She asked

"Gather some info about her uncle, his last contact number, where he shifted, why he left them, everything that you can."

"Ummm.. OK I can try but can't assure you to give a positive news next time."

"Try your best if you are with me on this mission, I want a positive news only"

"Okk.." She paused for a minute then spoke "Ronak.. Are you really upto making them to meet ? Like, what if one of them isn't ready to face the other ?"

"I'll make them meet today or if not then by tomorrow positively, anyhow.." I was determined

"I know his whereabouts and I have his alive contact" she spoke very softly with hesitation ringing in her voice.

"Whattt !? Are you serious ?"

"Few years back when me and Anamika used to live together as roommates then Anamika used to talk with him, cursing him for leaving them, telling him how her aunt is suffering without him... Actually, I don't know how but her uncle contacted us once, it was night time. Anamika was sleeping and I was using her cell when suddenly a call with an unknown number came. I picked it up and spoke 'hello', but no one answered from the next side and after ten-fifteen seconds it ended and then it again came the next night. I told anamika about this and the third night she picked up the call without uttering a word. Silence was spread for a minute when finally the other person spoke. "Anamika beta! (Anamika my daughter!)".. It didn't took her too long to identify his voice. He was her uncle. That night they almost talked for around 40 mins and anamika kept cursing and abusing him for his deeds. Slowly they used to talk once a month then somehow her aunt got to know and she scolded anamika very badly for talking with the man who left them. Since then Anamika never talked with him again, though i secretly gave him my number and so he contacts me once a while to get news and updates about the two."

"Didn't you tried forcing him to meet his family and restart their life afresh by clearing everything between them and apologizing... ?"

"I did but he told me that he is so much guilty and shameful that he can't face them now. Even he is also suffering without them and he was been confirmed for brain cancer. Right now he is under treatment but he wishes to die in the pain for the pain and suffering he has given to his family."

While we were talking mihir too arrived. He was surprised to see Ashu there but then I told him everything and he agreed. I switched off my number so that no one can disturb me and as I've asked mihir to get me a spare cell, he did. I placed my new Sim in it and started it.

Then as per planned, I contacted him. He had returned to India few years back and was living alone in a city which was at 80 kms distance from ours. Me and mihir set the engine start of my car and went to bring him while ashu was given the responsibility to handle Anii and other tasks.

Will uncle be able to handle Aunty's anger ?
Will aunty melt ?
