"Ain't this your girl house?" Dave asked as we pulled up to the pre-game. "I'm not gone tell you again that I just met the girl yesterday." I smacked my lips. "Whatever. I know you bullshittin. You like her I can tell." He smiled hopping out of the car and meeting Jordan by his car. I shook my head getting out also meeting up with Jordan too as he introduced Dave to Tyler and Taco.
"What's up Kelly!" Taco greeted me as soon I was in hearing distance. "Sup Tuesday." I nodded at him and dapping up Tyler. Jordan knocked on the door typing on his phone as soon as he finished.
The door opened revealing a very drunk Kendall. "Jordy!" She cheered pulling him into a hug. "Damn you must not see us huh?" Tyler playfully looked her up and down. "Oh shut up! I was going to hug you guys next." She stumbled to the two friends and pulling them into separate hugs. "Hey Dave! Hey Kelly!" She pulled both of us into side hugs before ushering us into the house.
"The drinks are in the kitchen and if you want to smoke there's a room upstairs that I'm pretty sure is empty." She told us as we sifted through many people. "You trynna head up?" Dave asked me. I nodded tapping Jordan's shoulder to let him know we were separating from him to which he nodded to.
We immediately found an empty room that was lit with blue lights and multiple couches around the room. I sat quietly taking in my surroundings as Dave rolled up. I scrolled through my social media not really interested in anything on my phone honestly. I don't even know why I have one nobody ever contacts me unless it's my trainers or teammates.
"Kelly?" A familiar voice called my name. I jerked my head in the direction of the voice to see Kylie looking right at me from the doorway. "What's up best friend." I smiled softly. She smiled back at me causing Dave to move to another couch so she could sit.
"I told you don't call me that." She giggled sitting beside me. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't care." I said. "You and Jordan are so rude I swear." Dave interrupted the conversation to pass me the joint. I smacked my lips and taking a hit. "I was finna introduce you if you would wait." I breathed out. He rolled his eyes. "Kylie this is Dave my older brother. Dave this is Kylie my new best friend." I smirked at her.
"Kelly I swear!" She said swatting my arm. "It's nice to meet you." She shook Dave's hand after. "You too. My brother won't stop talking about you." David smirked at me. "Don't make me beat your ass!" I took another hit. "I was just playing chill!" He sat back on his couch pulling out his phone.
"You smoke?" I asked Kylie turning my attention back to her. She shook her head. "I've never tried actually." She told me. "I'm surprised you do though. Don't they drug test you?" She asked raising her eyebrow. "It's offseason they usually don't so I just stop about a month before I have to report to training camp." I answered taking another hit and passing it back to Dave.
She nodded taking in everything I just told her. "Your boyfriend not here?" I asked. She shook her head looking down at her hands. "Not tonight. He had better things to do." She answered softly. "I'll keep you company I'm not doing anything anyway." I smiled at her softly.
She nodded with a hint of a smile. "I'm good at the best friend thing huh?" I nudged her shoulder with mine. "Shut up." She rolled her eyes playfully. "Bro." Dave passed the joint back to me. "I'm finna get a drink, you good up here?" He asked. "Yeah I got it." I nodded. "Cool." He left soon after stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"You two are very similar." She said softly, almost too softly. "How so?" I asked scooting closer to her. Only to hear her more clearly. "Both of you are quiet and shockingly pretty to be boys." She answered. I scoffed playfully. "What is that supposed to mean?" I smiled fully breathing in the drug and waiting for her answer. She shrugged her shoulders. "Just that you two are very good looking." She laughed. I nodded. "You're pretty too so maybe we might be related." I joked back.
"Maybe we are long lost siblings." She answered. "From best friends to siblings." I earned another swat to my bicep as I took another hit. "Damn you slap hard." I rubbed my arm. "I was just playing with you best friend." I flirted as I put out the joint in the ashtray on the table. "You're impossible I swear." She sighed.
"So what did you do for the rest of the day after the paparazzi frenzy?" I asked relaxing back into the couch but giving her my full attention. She shrugged. "I came here and hung out with my sisters. Nothing special really."
"Boring." I teased softly. She rolled her eyes yet again. "I like boring." I added after a beat not meeting her eyes. "My boyfriend doesn't." She responded not more so to me but to herself. "Well if he doesn't then maybe he isn't right for you." I responded anyway. "Not that I'm the judge anyway. I'm just fulfilling my best friend duties here." I put my hands up in playful defense. "Shut up." She laughed. She had a genuine smile on her face making me smile back at her.
"Maybe if you use my number you'll get more helpful advice from your new best friend." I added. She nodded. "I'll be sure to use it sometime." She answered.
"Kyls! We're about to leave in like 10 minutes." Kendall's voice broke us out of our trance. "There you are Kelly. Jordan's looking for you downstairs." She told me. "Thank you Kendall." I nodded towards her.
"You gonna be alright?" I asked her softly. Kylie nodded silently. "I'll see you at the party then." I stood and exiting the room passing by Kendall at the door to go find Jordan.
